ELLIOTT - McWREATH.
[ McWREATH is the Groom. ]
A beautiful wedding ceremony took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson L. ELLIOTT at Fifth street and West Lincoln avenue, McDonald, at seven
o'clock Wednesday evening, March 15, 1922, when their daughter, Miss Mary Ethel ELLIOTT, became the bride of Mr. Guy A. McWREATH, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ewing S. McWREATH of Johns avenue. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D., pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald, under a large wedding bell of pink roses, mingled with cibodium and fermosa ferns. These decorations obtained throughout the house. Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Simpson MUSGRAVE of Pittsburgh, a cousin of the bride, played a scene from "The Rose Garden," the wedding march from Lohengrin, and during the ceremony she played "Venetian Love Song" by Nevin. The bride wore a gown of white
canton crepe, with tulle veil caught with orange blossoms and carried white Ophelia roses and lilies of the valley, showered with sweetheart roses. Miss Grace FALCK of Leetsdale, as bridesmaid, wore a gown of blue canton crepe and carried pink Columbia roses. Alice Jean VALENTOUR, little
niece of Mr. McWREATH, was flower girl. She wore a frock of white dotted Swiss, with pink and blue ribbons, and carried a basket of pink sweet peas.
Mr. McWREATH was attended by Mr. James CAMPBELL of McDonald. The ushers were Mr. Louis VALENTOUR and Mr. George YOUNG. Morgan
ELLIOTT, brother of the bride and a student at W. & J. college, was prevented by illness from attending. Following the ceremony, a reception for fifty guests was held with seventeen at the bride's table, on which the centerpiece was a basket of pink roses. After an Eastern trip Mr. and Mrs. McWREATH will be at home at 300 Jefferson avenue, McDonald. Mr. McWREATH graduated from the McDonald high school and from State college
in 1915. He was a lieutenant in the United State army during the late war.
Mrs. McWREATH graduated from the Washington seminary in 1916.

McDonald Man Weds Midway Girl

Miss Lois PARKES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles PARKES of Herron street, Midway, and Guy A.
McWREATH, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy A. McWREATH, Sr., of R. D. 1, McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 1947, in the home of the bride's parents
by the Rev. Eldin BENNETT, pastor of the Center U. P. church, Midway.
The bride wore a pale green gabardine suit with brown accessories and a corsage of orchids. The maid of honor, Miss Shirlene BRUN of Midway
wore a black suit with white accessories and a corsage of orchids. Wilson
McWREATH, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman.
Following the ceremony, dinner was served to the bridal party and their immediate families, with 12 guests seated at the bridal table.
Mrs. McWREATH, a 1944 graduate of the Midway high school, is employed as a stenographer for
FARRAR & NAGODE Coal Co. Mr. McWREATH, a 1942 graduate of McDonald high school, attended the Staunton Military academy, Staunton, Va. He served 20 months in the army, 15 of
which were spent with the 84th division in the European theater. He is employed by the West Penn Power Co. The young couple will reside
in Johns avenue, McDonald.

McWREATH - STEVENSON
Wedding in Church
Miss Mary Louise STEVENSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. STEVENSON of Fannie street,
McDonald, and Joseph Elliott McWREATH, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy A. McWREATH of R. D. 1, McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, 1947, in the First
Presbyterian church, McDonald. The pastor, the Rev. Joseph H. RODGERS, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with
ferns, palms, and lighted candelabra.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with full court train fashioned of nylon chiffon. The bodice was of white satin with
an alecon lace bertha. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried an arm
bouquet of white gardenias and white satin streamers. For something old, she wore a
diamond brooch which belonged to her grand- mother. She wore a sixpence in her shoe and for
something new, a gold watch, a gift of the bridegroom.
The maid of honor, Miss Mary Lucille McWREATH, sister of the bridegroom, wore a yellow faille gown with matching headdress and she
carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers. The bridesmaids, Miss Betty Ann YOUNG of Oakdale, Miss Marjorie Lou DONALDSON of R. D.
1, Bulger, and Miss Mildred CAMERON of McDonald each wore an aqua gown with matching headdress and carried a colonial bouquet of mixed
flowers. The junior bridesmaid, Judith Ann STEVENSON, niece of the bride, wore a pink gown with matching headband and carried a colonial
bouquet of pink flowers. Harve Sohn BOCK of Oakdale served as bestman and Wilson
McWREATH, brother of the bridegroom, Robert L. STEVENSON, brother of the bride, Lee CAMERON, and Arthur A. BELL, Jr., all of McDonald, and George PAXTON of Houston were ushers.
The bride's mother wore an aqua dress and the bridegroom's mother wore an aqua print dress and each wore white accessories and a corsage
of white gardenias.
The church organist, Miss Hazel SPEER, played the wedding music and Paul NIMAL of McDonald sang "At Dawning," "Because," and "The
Lord's Prayer."
Following the ceremony, a reception for 175 guests was held in the home of the bride's parents. A three-tiered wedding cake topped with a
miniature bride and groom centered the bridal table.
The bride, a graduate of McDonald high school, was employed in the Mellon National Bank, Pittsburgh. The bridegroom graduated from the
McDonald high school and for a year attended the Staunton Military Academy, Staunton, Va. He is employed at the Rolling Ridge Farms,
Danboro, Pa. Upon their return from a brief wedding trip they will make their home in
Danboro.

[ MEADE is the Groom. ]
The marriage of Miss Marie RANDOUR of McDonald, daughter of Joseph RANDOUR of Burgettstown, and Robert MEADE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert MEADE, Sr. of Southside, McDonald took place Monday afternoon, May 27th in New Cumberland, W. Va. The ceremony was performed by the Presbyterian minister of New Cumberland. Mr. and Mrs. MEADE will go to housekeeping shortly in the Hyman apartment in South McDonald street.

MEANOR - WILSON
Miss Erma WILSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis WILSON of Imperial, and Clarence
MEANOR, also of Imperial, were united in marriage at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, December 23, 1937, in the home of the bride's parents.
The Rev. Clarence E. DAVISON performed the ceremony. The bride was attired
in a dubonnet velvet street-length dress with black accessories and wore
a corsage of tea roses. A dinner was served in the evening to only the
immediate families. Mrs. MEANOR is a 1936 graduate of North Fayette high school.
Mr. MEANOR is a 1936 graduate of Findlay high. The young couple are residing
in the CAIN apartment in Clinton.

Miss Edna BOLING, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl BOLING, and Harold
MEANOR, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne MEANOR, were married at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 1940,
in the BOLING home by the Rev. Clarence E. DAVISON, pastor of the Valley
Presbyterian church.
The bride wore a white lace gown with a brooch worn by her great-grandmother
on her wedding gown, 97 years ago. The bride's corsage was of Joanna Hill roses
and babybreath. Miss Florence CRAIG was the bridesmaid and Mr. Nathan
BOLING
served as bestman.
A buffet supper was served to twenty guests -- members of the immediate families.
The wedding cake was baked by the bride's aunt, Mrs. William GERSTNER.

The marriage of Vera Catherine WOLFORD, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. O. WOLFORD, of Midway, and Paul Burns
MECHLIN, son of Rev. and Mrs. E. K. MECHLIN, of West Palm Beach, Fla., took place Saturday evening, July 23, at the home of the bride.
The ceremony was performed by Rev.
E. J. RALSON, pastor of the Center United Presbyterian church. Mr. and Mrs. MECHLIN left Monday morning for a three weeks' visit with the former's parents at West Palm Beach, Fla., after which they will be at home at Jefferson, Pa. where Mr. MECHLIN is principal of the schools.
