McGREEVEY - SMITH
John McGREEVEY and Miss Jane SMITH were married at the home of the bride?s father on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m., by Rev. J. P. JORDAN. The guests included the relatives and friends of both families. They went the same evening to their own home which was furnished and ready for them. Both the bride and groom are well known to the people of McDonald, their families being among the oldest citizens.
Mr. McGREEVEY just recently successfully passed the examination for
[coal mine] fire boss in this district.

McGREEVY - MARTIN
Miss Marjorie Nell MARTIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. MARTIN of Detroit, and Mr. Robert J. McGREEVY of Flatrock, Mich., son of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert McGREEVY of Barr street, McDonald, were united in marriage at noon Thursday, June 23, 1938, in the Methodist parsonage, Detroit, the pastor, the Rev. Mr. SMITH, officiating. The young couple left on a trip to Chicago. After September 1, they will be at home at apartment 301, Beldon building, East Jefferson, Detroit. Mr. McGREEVY, a graduate of McDonald high school and Adrian college, is athletic coach and teacher in Flatrock, Mich.

McGREEVY - COTTLE
Samuel McGREEVY and Miss Edith COTTLE were married Thursday evening at six o'clock, at the home of the bride's father, by Rev. J. P. Jordan. The guests included the members of the two families. After a wedding supper they repaired to their home, which had been already furnished and made ready on East Lincoln avenue. Both of these young people have lived here from childhood and are well known by all of our citizens who join their relatives in wishing them much joy and happiness in their married life.

McGREW - COSGROVE NUPTIALS
On Tuesday, Oct. 27, at noon, at the home of the bride?s father, Mr. C. T. Cosgrove, at
Eldersville, Pa., by Rev. Mr. Taylor, were married Mr. Charles C. McGrew and Miss Emma Cosgrove. Mr. McGrew is a widely known oil man, who for the past two years has roomed at Mr. T. J. Walker?s on Third street and pumped several wells on the south side for the Forest Company. Mrs. McGrew is also well known here, having taught the South Side school last winter. Mr. and Mrs. McGrew Tuesday evening left for a trip to Cleveland, and on their return will reside in McDonald.

A quiet but very pretty wedding was that of Miss Emma Cosgrove, of
Eldersville, Pa., to Mr. C. C. McGrew, of Washington, Pa., on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1893, at the home of the bride. The home throughout was beautifully decorated with cut flowers, and at soon the attendants, Miss Etta Stevenson and Mr. Clyde Melvin, came in, followed by the bride and groom, who were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by the Rev. Taylor, of
Eldersville. The bride wore a beautiful dress of pearl blue and carried white roses. The presents were numerous and beautiful. After an elaborate dinner was served the wedding party drove to Burgettstown, where the happy couple left on the evening train for a short tour of the lakes, Mr. Clyde Melvin, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Nellie McGrew, a sister of the groom, accompanying them as far as Pittsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. McGrew on their return expect to make their home in McDonald.

McGREW - THOMPSON
On Tuesday morning, January 30, 1917, at 11:45 o'clock, Mr. Charles C. McGREW of McDonald and Miss Rachel THOMPSON of Pittsburgh were married by the Rev. Maitland ALEXANDER, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh. The ceremony took place in the parlors of the church. Mr. McGREW is foreman for the South Penn Oil Company. Mrs. McGREW is well known to many McDonald people. After spending their wedding trip with friends in Ohio and West Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. McGREW will be at home to their friends after February fifteenth.

WEIR - McGREW

Miss Hazel Serelda WEIR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. WEIR of Third street on Wednesday evening, June 6th, at 5:45 o'clock, became the bride of Mr. Fred C. McGREW, son of Mr. Charles C. McGREW, also of Third street. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. B. HARRISON before an embankment of palms and cibodium ferns in the living room of the home of the bride's parents. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was gowned in gray canton crepe, beaded in steel beads and carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds showered with lilies of the valley. Miss Alda Margaret WEIR was her sister's maid of honor and was gowned in salmon silk crepe and carried a bouquet of salmon rosebuds. Allen R. REID of Carnegie served as Mr. McGREW's best man. After the ceremony a dinner was served, covers being laid for eighteen at the bridal table. The color scheme was yellow and white and was beautifully carried out in the decorations. The bridal party entered the living room to the strains of Lohengrin's bridal chorus, played by Miss Georgia HOOD of Crestline, Ohio. The happy couple left the same evening on a lake trip. The bride is a graduate of the local high school of the class of '18. Mr. McGREW attended Indiana Normal school and is a veteran of the World war. He is employed by Carnegie Lumber Co. in Carnegie. They will reside for the present at the WEIR home in Third street. The out-of-town guests were: Miss Georgia HOOD of Crestline, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. COSGROVE of Vanderbilt, W. J. SPEER of North Bessemer, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. CRISS of Steubenville, Ohio, Mr. T. J. WALKER of Bridgeville, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. MARSHALL and children of Imperial, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. MURPHY and daughter of Crafton, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson GORDON and Miss Ethyl MALONEY of Teveskyn, Mr. Allen R. REID of Carnegie, Prof. and Mrs. N. G. PARKE of Sewickley.
