On Wednesday morning, June 24th at 7:00 o'clock occurred the marriage of Miss Lois D. ESTMAN of Midway to Mr. Edwin MCFARLANE of Burgettstown in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. ESTMAN. Rev. Jame THOME, pastor of the United Presbyterian church of Burgettstown, officiated. The bride who was unattended, wore a gown of French blue georgette with a bandeaux of orange blossoms on her head. She carried a bouquet or [sic] Ophelia roses showered with lilies of the valley. Her tarveling [sic] suit was of burnt-wood satin. They left immediately after the ceremony on an extended eastern trip and upon their return will be at home in Burgettstown. Those present were:  Mrs. William BRABSON and daughters Lois [BRABSON] and Aldene [BRABSON], Mrs. W. A. BOYLES and daughters Cloyda [BOYLES] and Emma [BOYLES] of Midway and Mrs. MCFARLANE of Burgettstown.

Miss Josephine Elizabeth KRESS, daughter of Mrs. John KRESS Sr. of Valley street, and John E. McFARLANE, son of Mr. and Mrs. George McFARLANE of Midway, were quietly married at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. William C. GERDES, in Carrick on Monday evening, June 16, 1924. They left the same evening on a motor trip and upon their return will reside in Midway, where Mr. McFARLANE is employed in his father's store.

On Monday morning at six o'clock occurred the marriage of Charles A. McGEE and Mary D. McCUNE. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. A. BURGOON, rector of St. Alphonsus Church. The wedding was a quiet one, witnessed by only a few immediate relatives. The attendants were Miss Lorelle LAUGHLIN and Thomas MURPHY, cousins of the bride. After a wedding breakfast at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. James LAUGHLIN, in North avenue, the young couple left for a trip to Buffalo, Niagara Falls and New York City. On their return they will go to housekeeping in Rochester, N. Y., where the groom is employed in the glass industry. Both young people are well-known here and popular.

Miss Mary Alverda BEST, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel BEST of Valley street, McDonald, and Mr. John B. McGEE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude McGee of Corliss, formerly of Sturgeon, were united in marriage on Wednesday, April 28, 1926, in the manse of the Washington M. E. church, the Rev. John H. DEBOLT officiating. Miss Lydia McGEE, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid, and Mr. John COCHRAN of Midway was best man. The young couple will reside in Corliss.
