The marriage of Miss Anna C. SCHAEFER of Barr street and James J. McCOY of Carnegie was solemnized before a nuptial mass in St. Alphonsus' Catholic church, McDonald, Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 1921, the Rev. Father Joseph A. BURGOON officiating. The wedding party entered the church to the strains of the wedding march from Lohengrin, played by Miss Jeannette RANDOUR of Washington street. During the ceremony Miss RANDOUR played "Oh Promise Me." Miss Mable KENNEDY of Center avenue and Charles BINZ of the North side, Pittsburgh, were the attendants. The bride wore a suit of brown with hat to match and carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses, and the bridesmaid wore a suit of green and carried American Beauty rosebuds. A wedding breakfast at the home of the bride's brother, Francis SCHAEFER, followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. McCOY will reside in Oakdale.

McCOY - McELFRESH

On Thursday evening, September 17, at eight o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. McELFRESH, in North avenue, occurred the marriage of Miss Clara McELFRESH and Mr. William McCOY. The Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D., performed the ceremony in the presence of the near relatives of the high contracting parties. Mr. and Mrs. McCOY will reside in McDonald. Mr. McCOY holds a responsible position in the Champion mine of the Pittsburgh Coal Company.

Miss Katherine A. PHILLIPS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John PHILLIPS of 234 State street, Oakdale, and Mr. Charles H. McCRORY, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. McCRORY, also of Oakdale, were united in marriage at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, October 27, 1937, in the rectory of the Immaculate Conception church, Carnegie, the Rev. Fr. PAWELKIEWICZ officiating. The bride wore a blue suit with brown accessories and a corsage of Tokay roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Matylda PHILLIPS, sister of the bride, wore a London tan suit with green accessories and a corsage of Johanna Hill roses. Mr. Joseph P. HARTMAN, Jr., of Oakdale, served as bestman.

Dinner was served at 11 o'clock in the diningroom of the North Star hotel. Immediately afterward, the bride and bridegroom left on a honeymoon trip. They will be at home at 256 West State street, Oakdale.

McCRORY - HIGHFIELD


Miss Mary Lou HIGHFIELD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer C. HIGHFIELD, Chestnut street, Noblestown, and James McCRORY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer McCRORY of Noblestown, were united in marriage at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Spriul 2, 1947, in the parsonage of the Noblestown Methodist church. The Rev. G. M. CONNER officiated. Immediately following the ceremony, the young couple left on a wedding trip to Washington, D.C. Upon their return they went to housekeeping in McDonald.
