McANANY - TORNABENE
Miss Julia TORNABENE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph TORNABENE of R. D. 4, McDonald, became the bride of Howard
McANANY, Jr.,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McANANY of Houston, on Wednesday, July 17, 1946, in St. Patrick's church, Canonsburg. Only the immediate
families attended. Miss Betty TORNABENE, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor and "Bud"
SCHEURR, brother-in-law of the bridegroom,
served as bestman.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride after which the young couple left for a wedding trip to Detroit. They will
make their home in Canonsburg.
Mrs. MCANANY is manager of the meat department in the Pittsburgh food store and Mr. McANANY after three years' service with the United
States marines in the South Pacific is operating a lunch room in Houston.

WHITE - McBETH.

Before an embankment of palms and ferns, interspersed with hydrangeas and delphiniums, the marriage of Miss Dorothy WHITE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. WHITE of Crafton heights, and Dr. George Albert
McBETH, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. McBETH of Third street, McDonald was solemnized in the WHITE home by the Rev. W.
JEWART, pastor of the Crafton heights Methodist Episcopal church, at 7:30 o'clock Thursday
evening, June 5, 1924. The bride who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white romaine crepe and chantilly lace with a cape of the lace caught with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Margaret DIMLING of Oakland, Pittsburgh, as maid of honor, appeared in an old-fashioned frock of primrose crepe and carried a Colonial bouquet. Dresses of pink crepe were worn by the ring bearers. Marion McBETH sister of groom, and Leta
KRING, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. KRING of Neville Island, and they carried Ophelia roses. Dr. Paul W. HEASLEY of Brookville was Dr. McBETH's best man.
A reception and dinner supplemented the ceremony. Dr. and Mrs. McBETH left the same evening on an Eastern trip and after June 15 will be at home in Crafton heights, where Dr. McBETH has a dental office. Dr. McBETH is a graduate of the McDonald high school class of 1917. He is a World War veteran and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of
Dentistry.

McBETH - MECLUSKEY
The marriage of Miss Eva Virginia MECLUSKEY, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. Franklin
MeCLUSKEY of Philadelphia, and Robert Blair McBETH, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. C. McBETH of Ingram, took place Wednesday afternoon at four, in the Washington Memorial chapel in Valley Forge.
Dr. Ross STOVER and the Rev. John HART officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown made with chantilly lace bodice with illusion neckline outlined in seed pearl embroidery,
long sleeves, and a full skirt of net with circular train. A coronet of lace and stephanotis held the fingertip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet
of white orchids, stephanois, and gardenias.
Lt. Elaine MECLUSKEY, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Chalmers
GREENLEY, Miss Jane SPONSLER,
Miss Alice MUSTIN, Miss Emelyn BUTTS, and Miss Elizabeth RUSSELL. The maid of honor wore pale aqua nylon satin with cap sleeves,
peplum, and full skirt, and carried a cascade bouquet of delphinium and white gladioli. The bridesmaids wore similar gowns in pale orchid and
carried cascade bouquets of pink gladioli and babies'-breath. All wore matching headpieces.
Paul McBETH, Jr., served as bestman and the ushers were Dr. Chalmers GREENLEY, Dr. George
McBETH, and Robert HACKING of Pittsburgh, Warren MAUST of Berlin, and Ensign Joseph DONNELLY.
The bride's mother, Mrs. MECLUSKEY, wore a dusty rose crepe gown with matching hat and Mrs.
McBETH, mother of the bridegroom, chose
pastel green crepe with matching hat. Both wore orchid corsages.
A reception in the Philadelphia Country club followed the ceremony.
