LEMON - DESCUTNER
Miss Elma DESCUTNER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.E. DESCUTNER of Fannie street, McDonald, and Thomas FRANKLYN LEMON, son of Mrs. Hannah LEMON and the late Frank LEMON of Midway, were united in marriage Tuesday evening, August 10, 1937, in the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal church, Cumberland, Md., the Rev. George E. BAUGHMAN, pastor, officiating. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Wilburt TRESTER of New London, Conn. The young couple left for a short trip to the New England states. Miss DESCUTNER is a 1929 graduate of the McDonald high school.
Mr. LEMON, who is employed in the Submarine division of the Navy, is stationed in New London, Conn.

An event of interest to many friends was the marriage of Miss Agnes Belle MOORE, daughter of Patrick MOORE of East State street, Oakdale, to William Howard LEMON, son of Mrs. Mary LEMON, of McDonald. The marriage was solemnized Wednesday morning, May 25, 1921, at St. Patrick's church, Noblestown. The Rev. D. J. COX performed the ceremony. The music was rendered by Miss Emma KAHR of Oakdale and Mrs. Sherman BRAUN of McDonald. The bride was gowned in white satin crepe and chiffon, a veil of point lace was draped in soft folds from a cluster of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower of white roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Mame A. MOORE, sister of the bride and her only attendant, wore a gown of pale pink canton crepe with picture hat to match and carried an armful of pink roses. Thomas E. LEMON, brother of the groom, was best man. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast for the immediate families was served in the MOORE home. Mr. and Mrs. LEMON will be at home in McDonald after an extended wedding trip.

LEMON - SMITH
Miss Betty Marcel SMITH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William SMITH of Wireton
[sic=Weirton, W.Va.], and Cpl. William J. LEMON, stationed at Grenier field [sic], New Hampshire, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. LEMON of 152 Center
avenue [sic], Oakdale [Pa], were united in marriage at seven o'clock Monday evening, September 20, 1943, at the base chapel, Grenier field,
N.H., by the U. S. army chaplain, Captain John A. TANSEY. The couple were met at the chapel with honor guards and were given a ten-gun salute.
The bride wore light blue wool with black accessories and carried white orchids. The matron of honor, Mrs. John
CASHWELL, wore pink with black accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Lieutenant CASHWELL served as
bestman.
Following the ceremony, the couple were honored by the 839th Guard Squadron at a banquet at the
N.C.O.
club [sic], Grenier field [sic].
Corporal and Mrs. LEMON spent a three-day pass at Lake Winnepesanke, N.H.
Mrs. LEMON, a 1941 graduate of Ambridge high school [sic] and Business Training
college [sic], Pittsburgh [Pa], is private secretary of the Family Society of
Coraopolis [Pa]. She plans to join her husband in the near future. Corporal LEMON was employed by the South Penn Oil Co. before his induction into the army.

Miss Mary Jane SLOAN and Martin LENGVARSKY, Jr., were united in marriage at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 1947, in McDonald by Justice
of Peace A. B. COCHRAN.
The bride was attired in a white satin gown with lace bodice, fingertip sleeves, sweetheart neckline and small train. Her full-length veil of illusion
fell from a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a white Bible with a streamer of orchids attached. The bridesmaid, Miss Lillian MULLOOLY of East-end, Pittsburgh, wore a mauve pink chiffon gown with fitted bodice and full gathered skirt, a pale blue picture hat with elbow
length gloves and shoes to match and she carried a arm bouquet of peach gladioli tied with blue satin streamers.
