LANGMAN - SLATES
Miss Dorothy Jean SLATES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. SLATES of Third street, McDonald, and William R.
LANGMAN, son of Mr. and Mrs.
R. LANGMAN of Imperial, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 1947, in the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Charles
F. TAME, pastor of the First Methodist church, McDonald, performed the double ring ceremony before an embankment of roses.
The bride wore a white gabardine suit with blue accessories and a corsage of white roses and blue babies' breath. The maid of honor, Miss
Agnes MUTTON of McDonald, wore a blue gabardine suit with white accessories and a corsage of red roses. Robert LANGMAN of Imperial,
brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman. A reception for thirty guests was held at 8:00 p.m. in the home of the bride's parents. Following
a wedding trip, the young couple will be at home after June 29 at 206 Third street.
The bride is a graduate of the McDonald high school. The bridegroom, a graduate of the North Fayette high school, is employed by the People's
Natural Gas Co., Imperial.

ADAMS - LAROSS

Dr. W. A. LAROSS, of McDonald, and Miss Laura E. ADAMS, of Meadowcroft avenue, Mt. Lebanon, were united in marriage
Monday morning, September 29, at 9:45 o'clock, in the home of the bride, by the Rev. Dr.
E. C. McCOWN. The bride wore blue and gold georgette with a hat of blue velvet and her
flowers were orchids. There were no attendants and only the immediate families were present at the ceremony. A
breakfast at the University Club, Pittsburgh, followed the ceremony, with covers laid for thirty-eight. Dr. and Mrs.
LaROSS are taking a southern trip and will be at home in McDonald after September 20.

Mr. Michael F. COLLINS of Arabella street, McDonald, announces the marriage of his daughter Miss Mary Eleanor to Mr. William ASHER
LaROSS, Jr., son of Dr. William A. LaROSS of West Lincoln avenue, McDonald, Friday evening, February 2, 1940, in the
LaROSS home, by the Rev. Fr. Joseph A. BURGOON.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore turquoise blue with matching hat and a corsage of orchids. Her sister, Mrs. August VALENTOUR, Jr., only attendant, wore a dress of cornflower blue and a corsage of gardenias. Mr. William SANDSTON of Mt. Lebanon served as his uncles' bestman.
Following a dinner for the immediate families, Mr. and Mrs. LaROSS left for Miami, Fla., and upon their return will reside with Mr.
LaROSS's father in Marabella street.

The couple will reside at Bryan, Texas, near the army air field were he is stationed. Mrs.
