WINTERS - KRISS

Wednesday, August 5, 1925 at 5:45 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustave WINTERS of the McKee place, Sturgeon, Miss Mary Hortense WINTERS became the bride of Mr. John Barth
KRISS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. KRISS of Primrose. The ceremony was performed in the living room which was beautifully decorated in pink and white roses and ribbon. The Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D., pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald officiated.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin trimmed with Irish lace and carried bouquet of white roses showered with lilies of the valley. The attendants Miss Gladys WINTERS, a sister of the bride, wore a gown of Canary yellow and carried a bouquet of pink roses and Miss Anna WINTERS, of Clinton, a cousin of the bride, wore a gown of orchid chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Anna KRISS, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and wore a gown of peach color and carried a bouquet of yellow tea roses. Little Betty Maxine COOK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. COOK of Cleveland, Ohio was flower girl and wore a dress of white chiffon and carried a basket of pink roses. Mr. Carl WINTERS of Clinton was Mr. KRISS' best man. Miss Alice Mae WINTERS of the East end, PITTSBURGH, played "Lohengrin's Wedding March," "Oh Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly".
The ceremony was followed by a six course dinner in the home of the bride's parents after which the young couple left on a motor trip to Atlantic City, Philadelphia, New York, Niagara Falls and points in Canada. After September 1st they will be at home to their many friends in their newly furnished home in Sturgeon.

KRISTOFF - NUGENT
Miss Virginia M. NUGENT, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin NUGENT of Cecil,
and S.Sgt. Andrew KRISTOFF, stationed with the Air corps at Keesler field,
Miss., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph KRISTOFF of Gladden, were united in marriage
at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 1943, in the field chapel at Biloxi, Miss.,
by the Rev. William J.E. VANGARSSE.
The bride wore white crepe and white rosary beads. She carried a book. The
attendants were Sergeant MCCOY and wife. Mrs. MCCOY wore pink crepe. The
bride's mother also witnessed the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Buena Vista Hotel for six
guests.
Mrs. KRISTOFF, a graduate of Cecil high school, is employed in Bridgeville. She
will reside in Cecil. Her husband graduated from South Fayette high.
