KISH - STRAIN
Miss Dorothy Mildred STRAIN, daughter of Mrs. Annie STRAIN and the late James STRAIN of R. 4, McDonald, and Sgt. Benjamin KISH, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve KISH of
Sturgeon, were united in marriage at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, January 27, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Alderman A. M. MALONEY
officiating.
The bride wore a Soldier blue and white ensemble with a corsage of red roses and white carnations. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Harry
LIEBERT, who wore an
ensemble of gray and green and a corsage of white carnations. Harry LIEBERT of Sturgeon served as
bestman.
A dinner for the members of the wedding party was held at Hotel Schenley.
Sgt. Benjamin KISH is a member of Co. A. 88th Glider Inf., 1st Bn. at Fort Bragg, N.C. He returned to camp on Saturday, January 30.
Mrs. KISH will join her husband in the near future.

KISH - SHIREY
Miss Dorothy SHIREY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James SHIREY of North street, McDonald, and Bert KISH, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert KISH, Sr., of Oakdale, were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon, April 12, 1941, in the First Presbyterian parsonage, McDonald, the pastor, the Rev. Oscar E. GARDNER, D.D., performing the ceremony.
The bride wore a black gown with light blue accessories and a corsage of roses and snapdragons. The bridesmaid, Miss Edna COUDERC of McDonald, cousin of the bride, wore a light blue gown with blue accessories and a corsage of roses and snapdragons. Mr. Edward MUGGER of Oakdale served as bestman. Others who witnessed the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Bert KISH, Sr., daughter Miss Helen, and son Harry of Oakdale, and Mrs. James SHIREY and Mrs. Ella BOGER of the Christian Alliance church, McDonald.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's mother.
Mr. KISH is employed by the Mesta Machine Co. The young couple will reside with the bridegroom's parents in Oakdale.

KISLAK - BERTHOLD
Miss Elizabeth Louise BERTHOLD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John BERTHOLD of McDonald, became the bride of Samuel KISLAK, son of Mrs.
Anna KISLAK of Duquesne, at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 25, 1947, in St. Gregory's church, Homestead. The Rev. John ZITINSKY
performed the double ring ceremony before an alter decorated with ferns and lighted candelabra.
The bride wore a white satin gown with a high neckline, trimmed with seed pearls, long sleeves pointed over hand, and a full train. Her fingertip
veil fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried white roses and lilies of the valley tied with white satin streamers. The maid of honor, Miss
Vera DIMIDUK of Duquesne wore a blue taffeta gown with matching headdress. She carried an arm bouquet of talisman roses. The bridesmaid
Miss Dorothy KISLAK of Duquesne, sister of the bridegroom, wore a dusty pink taffeta gown with matching headdress. She carried an arm
bouquet of pink roses. Nicholas KISLAK of Duquesne, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and John POTOMA of Duquesne as
usher.
The bride's mother and the bridegroom's mother each wore black crepe dresses and corsages of red roses.
Following the ceremony a reception for 150 guests was held in the bridegroom's home. A four-tiered wedding cake, topped with a miniature
bride and groom, formed the table centerpiece. Mrs. KISLAK, a 1941 graduate of Cecil high school, is employed by the American Oil
Company, Pittsburgh. Mr. KISLIK is a graduate of Duquesne high school. During the war he served 36 months with the field artillery, 27 months
of which were spent in the European theater. He is now employed by the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corp., Duquesne.
Upon their return from a short wedding trip the young couple will make their home at 80 Valimea Drive, Kennywood, Pa.

KISOW - KERSTEN
Miss Ruth KERSTEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William KERSTEN of Westland, and Ernest KISOW, son of Mr. and Mrs.William KISOW of Midway, were united in marriage Tuesday evening, August 24, 1943, by the Rev. C. S. THOMAS of Hickory.
The attendants were Miss Alma KISOW of Midway, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Betty KERSTEN of Washington, sister of the bride. The bride wore a blue velvet suit with matching accessories and a corsage of red roses.
Mr. and Mrs. KISOW reside with the bridegroom's parents. Mrs. KISOW is assistant cashier in the Federal Supply store at Westland.
A wedding supper was held Sunday in the KERSTEN home. Present were Miss Peggy CENDERELLI of Canonsburg, Mr. and Mrs. William KISOW and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest KISOW of Midway, Miss Betty KERSTEN of Washington, and the William KERSTENS and daughters Laura, Rebecca, Anna, Nancy, and Alice of Westland.

KLEE - BOTNICK
Miss Esther BOTNICK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin BOTNICK of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mr. Abraham KLEE of McDonald, were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 1939, in Cleveland, in the presence of the immediate families.
Mr. and Mrs. KLEE took a trip to Niagara Falls and are residing in McDonald. Mr. KLEE is owner of the Western Meat market in Barr street.

KLEIN - SOVA
Miss Ida SOVA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James SOVA of Kirwan heights [sic] [Pa], and Mr. Henry Arthur KLEIN of
Presto [Pa], born and reared in Cecil [Pa], were united in marriage at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 1940, in St. Barbara's church,
Presto [Pa], by the Rev. Fr. J. PIKUTIS.
The bride wore a white chiffon and lace gown with pearl clips, and a lace veil with a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Kathryn KLEIN CHABASSOL of Gladden, sister of the bridegroom, wore a gown of aqua net and lace with a peach picture hat, slippers, and gloves. She carried tea roses.
Mr. Armilde WILTZ of
Cecil [Pa], a cousin of the bridegroom, served as bestman. Mr. Lucien DOCHY, an uncle of the bridegroom, and Mr. George GOUT, cousin, sang.
A reception in the home of the bride followed the ceremony. There were 35 guests with ten seated at the bride's table.
After a wedding trip to the New York World's fair, the young couple will reside in Bridgeville
[Pa] where Mr. KLEIN is employed as a bricklayer in the steel mill.
