KING - COWDEN
Miss Lois Thelma COWDEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lawrence COWDEN of R. D. 4, McDonald, and Jesse Clinton KING of Houston, were
married at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening, June 19, 1946, in the Hickory United Presbyterian church. The Rev. Guy D. WALLACE, D. D.,
performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length white net gown in colonial style. Her finger-tip illusion veil was caught in
a cap trimmed with orange blossoms. She wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of white roses centered
with an orchid.
Miss Belva COWDEN was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a blue gown fashioned similarly to that of the bride and a headdress of blue
tulle and flowers. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Darline Gail COWDEN, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a floor-length gown of pink satin and net and carried a colonial bouquet. James Russell KING of Washington R.D., brother of the bridegroom, was
bestman. Ushers were Frank RUSSELL of Houston and Russell COWDEN, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents with thirty-five guests.
The groom served 30 months in the army, ten of which were spent in the Asiatic theater. The couple plan to make their home in Houston.

KING - VALENT
Miss Sue VALENT of Imperial and John S. KING of Conneaut, Ohio, were quietly married at one o'clock Monday, July 20, 1936, at the rectory of St. Columbkill's church, Imperial. Immediately after the wedding dinner in the bride's home, the newlyweds left for Conneaut, Ohio, where they will make their home.

Miss Annie Elizabeth DAVIS of the Commercial apartments, East Lincoln avenue, McDonald, and Mr. Jules KING of Burgettstown were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 1939, in the office of Justice of the Peace A. B. COCHRAN, who performed the ceremony in the presence of about 15 or 20 relatives and friends. The young couple will reside in Burgettstown.

Mrs. Mary Irvine JARRETT of McDonald and Mr. Lynes Wilson KING of Burgettstown
were united in marriage at the residence of the officiating minister, the
Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D., pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald, on Saturday, December 23, 1922, at three o'clock in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry ZIMMERMAN were the attendants. Mrs. ZIMMERMAN is a sister
of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. KING have gone to reside in Burgettstown
where Mr. KING has a good position with a coal company.
