KETTERER - MANKEDICK 

The garden of the MANKEDICK home in Gregg was the scene of a beautiful wedding at four o'clock Saturday afternoon, August 27, 1938, when Miss Jean Carolyn MANKEDICK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Herman MANKEDICK, became the bride of Mr. John Cromwell KETTERER, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. KETTERER of Rochester, Pa. The ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. W. V. RITCHIE, pastor of the Oakdale United Presbyterian church, was witnessed by sixty guests. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of white mousseline de soie trimmed with seed pearls and wore a finger-tip veil also adorned with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses and gardenias. Mrs. Jame Giffen PURVIS of Butler, sister of the bride and matron of honor, wore a turquoise blue chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of pink roses and babybreath. Mr. William A. KETTERER of Monaco Heights, brother of the bridegroom, was bestman. Miss Marian MCMURRAY of McMurray, accompanied by Mrs. Robert P. PROVOST of Oakdale, sang two beautiful selections-"At Dawning" and "LAmour Toujours L'Amour."

Following the wedding ceremony, dinner was served to approximately sixty guests in the diningroom of the MANKEDICK home. Yellow and white predominated in the color scheme. The diningroom was beautifully decorated with yellow and white garden flowers and a large wedding cake was the table centerpiece. 

After the reception Mr. and Mrs. KETTERER left for a wedding trip through the Adirondacks. They returned the latter part of last week to their home in Monaca Heights. 

Mrs. KETTERER attended Muskingum college for two years, Pitt for an extensive study, and was a graduate of Westminster college. She was the history teacher the past three years in the Rennerdale school. Mr. KETTERER, a Westminster college graduate, is commercial teacher in the Aliquippa high school. 

The following showers were given in their honor: Friday, August 19, by the Oakdale U. P. King's Daughters; Thursday, August 25, by three of 
the bride's college friends in McKeesport, and a linen shower will be held this Friday by Miss Janet CURTIS and her sister, Mrs. William NEELEY, of Carnegie.

KIEHL - DONALDSON

Miss Jane E. DONALDSON, daughter of Mrs. Thomas R. DONALDSON of Robinson township, and the Rev. George W. KIEHL were united in marriage at noon Tuesday, April 23, 1935, in the home of the bride's aunt Mrs. CRAWFORD in Coraopolis. The bride's pastor, the Rev. Scott A. McCOLLAM of the First United Presbyterian church, McDonald, performed the ceremony in the presence of the immediate relatives. Following a reception held in Coraopolis Heights the bridal couple left on an automobile tour.  On their return they will be at home in the Presbyterian manse in Newell, W.Va.

Mrs. Hattie WILEY and Mr. Thomas B. KIGHTLINGER were quietly united in marriage at the First Presbyterian church, Pittsburgh, by the Rev. W. A. JONES on Thursday afternoon, March 31st, at two o'clock. After the ceremony the couple left by motor for Geneva-on-the-Lake, returning by way of Meadville and Conneaut Lake, Pa. They arrived home Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. KIGHTLINGER will reside at 219 Fayette avenue.

KILLARD - KENSINGER

Miss Colette KENSINGER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. KENSINGER, Sr., of Union avenue, Oakdale, and Albert J. KILLARD, son of Thomas G. KILLARD of Mt. Oliver, Pittsburgh, were united in marriage at 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 1936, in St. Patrick's church, Noblestown, the Rev. Fr. C. F. KEANNE performing the ceremony. Miss Mae KENSINGER, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid and Jamse A. KENSINGER, Jr., brother of the bride, was best man. The bride was attired in a white evening ensemble of lace and a coronet of Dutchess lace, with white accessories. She wore a corsage of white gardenias with golden wedding foliage and carried a white prayer book. Her bridesmaid was attired in a pink lace gown with silver slippers and wore a corsage of Johanna Hill roses. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents with only the immediate families present. There were two tables, with twelve seated at the bride's table. The table was beautifully decorated in crystal and had beautiful bouquets of pink and white asters. After the reception, the newlyweds left on a Canadian trip. After September 1 they will make their home in Dormont. The bride is a graduate of Pitt university. The bridegroom is employed by the Eurich Insurance Co. in Pittsburgh.
