FISCUS, stationed at Camp Haan, served as best man.

KERR - JOHNSON
On Saturday evening, March 20, in her home, Miss Thalia Eilene JOHNSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. JOHNSON of Scio, Ohio, became the bride of Sgt. Paul Eugene
KERR, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Paul CLAY of Third street, McDonald.
The Rev. Robert M. SMITH, pastor of the Scio Methodist church, officiated. Attendants were Mrs. Leslie PAGE and Charles Howard JOHNSON.
Sgt. and Mrs. KERR left on a brief honeymoon, since when he has returned to army camp. His bride will make her home with her parents for the duration of the war.

KERSTEN - HANNAN
Miss Hilda Mae HANNAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James HANNAN of R. D. 3, McDonald, and Pvt. Ralph W. KERSTEN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph KERSTEN of Fayette City, were united in marriage at eight o'clock Saturday evening, June 3, 1944, in the First United Presbyterian church, McDonald, by the pastor, the Rev. S. A. McCOLLAM, D.D. The double ring ceremony was performed.
The bride wore a poudre blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of American Beauty rosebuds and larkspur.
Following the ceremony, a dinner for the immediate families was held in the HANNAN home.
Mrs. KERSTEN, a 1942 graduate of Hickory high school, returned Wednesday to Arlington, VA., where she is employed by the Signal corps. Private KERSTEN, a 1941 graduate of Perryopolis high school, returned Wednesday to the third air force at Drew field, Fla.

Miss Elizabeth NONCLERG, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor NONCLERG of Cecil, and Mr. Alexander KERTISS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael KERTISS of McKeesport, were united in marriage at nine o'clock Thursday morning, November 28, 1940, in St. Mary's Catholic church, Cecil, by the Rev. Fr. John
KOPERA.
The bride wore a pastel blue afternoon dress with a fox jacket and maching
[sic=matching] hat. Her flowers were pink roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor, Miss Magdeline KERTISS of McKeesport, sister of the bridegroom, wore a beige afternoon dress with a beaver jacket and hat. Her flowers were Johanna Hill roses. Mr. Stephen SIMGU of McKeesport, cousin of the bridegroom, served as bestman. Miss Mary QUINN of Cecil played the wedding music and sang.
A wedding breakfast was served in the NONCLERG home. There were
fifty guests with twelve seated at the bride's table, the centerpiece
being a three-tiered wedding cake. A reception was held that
evening in Liberty hall with 300 present.
Mrs. KERTISS is a graduate of the Cecil high school and California
State Teachers college. She is a teacher in the Cecil grade school. Mr.
KERTISS is an electric welder for the National Tube Co., McKeesport.
