PETTIT - JORDAN

On Thursday afternoon, June 18th at 4:30 o'clock in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson M. PETTIT of North McDonald street, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Leona Belle PETTIT and Mr. Howard Vernon JORDAN, son of the late Dr. and Mrs. J. P. JORDAN of this place, the Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D. officiating, the ring ceremony being used.
The bride, who was unattended wore a gown of flesh georgette her only adornment being a platinum diamond and sapphire bracelet, a gift of the groom. Only the immediate families were present and a wedding dinner at the Hotel Chatham supplemented the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. JORDAN left on the 9:00 train for Albuquerque, New Mexico, making stops at St. Louis and Columbia, Mo. The trip from Albuquerque to Las Cruces, New Mexico being made by machine.
Mrs. JORDAN is a graduate of the McDonald High school and Bowling Green and taught in the McDonald and Sewickley high schools, while Mr. JORDAN is a graduate of the McDonald high school, the Michigan Agriculture School and the University of Missouri and is at
present an Instructor in the State College, New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. JORDAN will be at home in Las Cruces, New Mexico after July 1st.

JORDAN - SMITH
At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank SMITH, in
Howard street, occurred the marriage at 12:30 Thursday afternoon,
November 26, of Miss Margaret SMITH and
Owen JORDAN of Washington [Pa]. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J.
P. JORDAN. Mr. JORDAN [i.e. the groom] is a well-known employee of
the Bell Telephone company and is located in Washington. The young
couple will make their home in McDonald [Pa] for the present.

JOHNSON - JORDAN

Miss Velma JOHNSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William JOHNSON of Muse, and William
JORDAN,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil JORDAN of Midway, were united in marriage at 2:30 o'clock
Saturday afternoon, June 18, 1938, in the Gladden United Presbyterian church, the
Rev. C. E. CARSON officiating. The bride was attired in white lace and wore a corsage
of Talisman roses. The maid of honor, Miss Rachel JORDAN, sister of the bridegroom,
was attired in blue and wore a corsage of red roses. The bestman was Clarence
TIGNER. The members of both families were present. Several friends surprised them by
going to the church at the time of the ceremony.
