JONES - DOERR
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. DOERR of Burgettstown announce the marriage of their daughter, Ruth
Audray [DOERR], to Harold Frampton JONES of Oakdale. The ceremony was performed
by the bride's pastor, the Rev. Charles D. CASTLE, in the manse of Westminster church, Burgettstown, Thursday afternoon, May 28, 1936, the ring ceremony being used.
The newlyweds left immediately following the ceremony for a motor trip through Southern territory and to Washington, D.C. The bride is a graduate of Union high school.
She is one of the most highly esteemed young women of Burgettstown. For the past five years the bridegroom has been an instructor at the Boys' Industrial Home at

Secretly Married in Maryland
[ JONES - KLEIN ]
The details of an elopement in which Howard JONES, a student at State College, and Miss Hazel KLEIN, both well known young people of this place, figured, were learned here Saturday.
The parents of the couple, it is understood, objected to the match until the young man had
completed his college course. Thursday Howard JONES, who is a son of S. Dellar JONES, came to
Pittsburg from Bellefonte, and was met by Miss Hazel KLEIN. From Pittsburg [sic] the couple
went to Cumberland, Md., where they were united in marriage. They returned to their homes
here Friday and the friends and relatives of the couple learned of the secret marriage.

Loretta E. COLTERYAHN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry COLTERYAHN, Burgettstown, and James H. JONES, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie M. JONES, Burgettstown, were united in marriage Saturday, September 14, 1940, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. R. L. BIDDLE in the manse of the Fiorence Presbyterian church.
The bride was attired in a black and white velvet street dress with black accessories. They were attended by Miss Margaret JONES, sister of the bridegroom, and Delbert MORROW. The bride is a graduate of Union high school and of Indiana State Teachers' college. She has been a teacher in the Smith township school at Francis mine for several years. The bridegroom is employed with the Greensburg Connellsville Coal and Coke Co. The young couple will reside for the present in the home of the bridegroom's parents.

Married Saturday, May 23, at the residence of the bride's parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. F. FRY,
Miss Frances FRY to John JONES of Pittsburg[h]. The ceremony was performed by the father
of the bride in the presence of only the members of the families of the contracting parties and
Master Harry BALDWIN and Miss Louise HOLLAND as guests of honor. The ring service was used.
Mrs. JONES will make their home in New Kensington, Pa., for the present.

The wedding of Miss Letitia SCOTT of Burgettstown and Merle JONES of McDonald was solemnized Wednesday
morning, June 17, at 9:30 in the First U. P. church Burgettstown. Rev. J. L. THOME officiated. The couple
left immediately after the ceremony for a trip to points of interest in New York and Canada.
Upon their return they will reside in Adena, Ohio, where Mr. JONES is employed by the Penowa Coal company. The bride is a graduate of
the Burgettstown High school, class of 1919.
