JOHNSTON of North street, McDonald, were united in marriage at four o'clock Wednesday, June 7, 1944 in the historic St Paul's church, Baltimore,

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Pinkney Whyte WILKINSON, wore a misty white  embroidered marquisette gown. A veil of bridal illusion with a tiara of orange blossoms was held by a duchess lace cap, which had been worn by her great-great-grandmother. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, bouvardia, and stephanotis. The maid of honor, Miss Audrey STEWART FENTON, and the bridesmaids, Miss Jean MOYLAN and Miss Evelyn SALM, wore costumes designed in the lbue and gold of the navy with navy blue bodices and gold satin skirts covered with navy blue tulle. Their headdresses were of navy blue tulle with clusters of deep yellow daisies tucked in either side of their coiffures. They each carried a bouquet of deep yellow daisies and babies'-breath [sic]. Their only jewelry was a gold bracelet on which was mounted the naval academy crest - the gift of the bride. Ensign Richard HARDY of Bethlehem served as bestman and Ensign Hillis D. HUME, Ensign Arnold P. SORENSON, Ensign Jo Allison HUMES, ensign Benjamin H. DEAN, Midshipman L. B. KIDDER, and Midshipman R. H. CARNALEAN ushered and formed the traditional navy arch with swords. The bride's mother wore a light blue gown with black accessories and a corsage of gardenias. The bridegroom's mother wore dark blue with white accessories and corsage of gardenias.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's uncle.

Ensign JOHNSTON, a graduate of Naval academy, Annapolis, Md., reported to Jacksonville Fla.,
for his basic training. His wife accompanied him to Florida and after his training, they will
honeymoon at Bar Harbor, Maine, and then go to California, where they will remain until Ensign
JOHNSTON reports for active duty.
