JASPER - KANDERA

Miss Esther V. KANDERA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike KANDERA of R. D. 1, McDonald,
and Mr. George V. JASPER, Jr., son of George Jasper of Greentree, were united in marriage
at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 1940, in St. Patrick's church, Noblestown the Rev. Fr. C. M. KEANE performing the ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white bridal satin, cut on the 18th century line, with a finger-tip veil cascading from a crown of pearl orange blossoms. She wore a heart-shaped locket, a gift of the bridegroom. Her bouquet was of lilies of the valley and babybreath. The maid of honor, Miss Grace GIBSON of McDonald, wore pink taffeta with blue accessories and carried pink roses and babybreath. The bridesmaids, Miss Helen STULTZ of Greenfield and Miss Drene SNUTT of Houston, wore blue taffeta and pink accessories and carried gladiolas, roses and babybreath. All the attendants wore lockets, gifts of the bride and bridegroom. Mr. Leo JASPER, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and the ushers were Mr. Walter SCOSKEY of Greentree road and 
Mr. Joseph KIRCHNER of Carnegie.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the KANDERA home to fifty guests ___
______ seated at the bride's table. A wedding cake with candles on each side formed the table centerpiece. A reception was held in the evening in Eagles' hall, Sturgeon.  There were approximately 100 guests.

Mr. JASPER is employed by the Metal Products Co. of Rosslyn. The young couple will reside
with the bride's parents.

Among the guests at the wedding ceremony was Mr. George KANDERA of New Orleans, brother
of the bride's father.

JELLISON - PHILLIPS 

Miss Carrie PHILLIPS of Imperial was united in marriage to Alfred JELLISON of Coraopolis
on Monday, August 30, 1937, by the Rev. Father KUPIC of St. Columbkill's church.  A reception was held in the bride's home for members of the immediate families and a few close friends. Mrs. JELLISON is a graduate of the 1934 class of Findlay Vocational school and Mr. JELLISON is a graduate of the 1934 class of Coraopolis high. The couple plan to live in Imperial for the present.
