Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Nellie H. McCRORY of Noblestown to Joseph Russell IRONS of Buffalo, N.Y. The ceremony was performed on Monday evening, August 5, 1918, at the home of the bride?s father, George McCRORY, by the Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D., of McDonald, father of the groom. Only the immediate families were in attendance. Mr. IRONS graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and from the law school of the University of Buffalo, and is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He is now stationed at Camp Wadsworth, Spartansburg, S. C. Mrs. IRONS is a Wilson College girl.

IRWIN - GEDEON

Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. GEDEON, occurred the marriage of Miss Mary Catherine GEDEON and Claude E. IRWIN. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. D. IRONS.  Soon after the ceremony the young couple left on an extended wedding trip. They will be at home to their friends after October 1 in apartments in the VALENTOUR- THOMASSY building.

Miss Dorothy Elizabeth MCDOWELL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James MCDOWELL of Laurell hill, McDonald, and Cpl. George G. IRWIN, stationed at Ft. Bragg, S. C., son
of Claude IRWIN of Railroad street, McDonald, and the late Mary Gedeon IRWIN, were united in marriage at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 1943, in the parsonage of the
First United Presbyterian church, McDonald, by the pastor, the Rev. S. A. MCCOLLAM, D. D.

The bride wore blue and a corsage of white carnations. The bridesmaid, Miss Isabelle MCDOWELL of Laurel hill, sister of the bride, wore pink and a corsage of pink roses.  William IRWIN of Railroad street served as his brother's bestman.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the MCDOWELL home. There were thirty guest with ten seated at the bride's table. 

Both Mr. and Mrs. IRWIN are graduates of McDonald high school. Mrs. IRWIN is a bookkeeper for Brodys, and resides with her parents while her husband is in the service.
