HULICK - FOLKENS
Mr. and Mrs. Boyd FOLKENS of R. D. 2, Eightyfour, announce the marriage of their
daughter, Betty [FOLKENS], to Elmer P. HULICK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. HULICK of
R. D. 4, McDonald.
The wedding took place Saturday, August 9, in the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian church with
the double ring ceremony performed at 7:30 p.m. by the bridegroom's brother,
the Rev. William A. HULICK, pastor of the church.
Wedding music was played by Betty Jane MARTIN, pianist, who was accompanist for
Mrs. Charles FOLKENS, sister-in-law of the bride, who sang "Because" and "Through the
Years."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a white gabardine suit
fashioned with a peplum, wearing white accessories. She wore a single strand of pearls, a gift of the
bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of white roses centered with a red rose corsage with
with satin streamers showered with babies'-breath. Bridal traditions were carried out
in her attire.
Miss Florence FOLKENS, cousin of the bride, as maid of honor, wore a pink dress with
white accessories and carried a bouquet of blue asters and white larkspur.
Miss Erma KOEHLER, also a cousin of the bride, as an attendant, wore a pale green dress with white accessories
and carried a bouquet of talisman roses showered with babies'-breath.
John C. FOLKENS, Huntingdon, brother of the bridegroom, was bestman, with John
FETHERLIN, Washington, and Charles FOLKENS, Aliquippa ushering.
Mothers of the bride and the bridegroom, wore black crepe dresses, each having a
corsage of red roses.
Supplementing the ceremony, a reception was held in the church diningroom with
approximately 80 guests present. Later the couple left on a wedding trip to
Lake Erie resorts.
The bride was graduated from Trinity high school, class of 1944. The bridegroom was
graduated from Washington high school in the June class of 1942. Her served 27 months
in the U. S. Navy and is now a student at Washington and Jefferson college.

HULL - McCLELLAND
Thursday evening, September 3rd, 1936, at 6:45 o'clock in the presence of the immediate families and friends, Miss Esther MCCLELLAND, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. C.
MCCLELLAND of Venice, became the bride of George HULL, son of Mrs. J. R. HULL of McDonald. The ceremony was performed in the Venice United Presbyterian church
before an altar of ferns and palms. The Rev. Dr. C. T. LITTELL was the officiant.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin fashioned along Princess lines with long sleeves and train, and with a Queen Elizabeth
stand-up collar. She wore a finger-tip veil of tulle and carried madonna lilies.
Mrs. Charles HIGHFIELD, sister of the bride, as matron of honor, was attractive in green chiffon velvet with matching hat. She carried pink dahlias. Mrs. Fred HURLESS,
and Miss Gladys HULL, bridesmaids, were attractive in Edwardian chiffon velvet with matching hats. They carried bronze dahlias. Ray HULL of McDonald served as his
brother's best man.
A reception followed the ceremony in the MCCLELLAND home. The young couple have returned from a brief wedding trip through the East.

HULL - KREZANOSKY
College Couple Marry in Presbyterian Manse
Miss Marion KREZANOSKY and J. Ray HULL, Jr., popular members of the Sophomore class
at Waynesburg college, exchanged nuptial vows at an impressive double-ring ceremony
which took place Friday evening, March 14, 1947. The service was read at 6:30 o'clock
by the Rev. Joseph H. RODGERS in the First Presbyterian church manse, McDonald.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas KREZANOSKY of Muse and her husband
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ray HULL, Sr., of McDonald.
For her wedding ensemble Miss KREZANOSKY wore a blue street-length dress, white hat,
and long white gloves, and completed her attire with black purse and shoes. Her
corsage was a shoulder arrangement of gardenias. In carrying out the wedding tradition,
she wore a double strand of pearls, which she borrowed from Miss Rosella SPANG, R.N.,
supervisor of second floor nurses at the Greene County Memorial hospital, and she
carried an old lace handkerchief belonging to her mother.
The bride's only attendant, Miss Harriet FUNK of Muse, as maid of honor, wore a coral
dress with gray accessories and a yellow rosebud corsage. Robert DILLON of McDonald
served as bestman.
The bride's mother wore an aqua print dress, black accessories, and a pink rosebud
corsage. Mrs. HULL, mother of the bridegroom chose navy blue and pink accessories with
a pink rosebud corsage.
Immediately following the wedding, a dinner was held in the bride's home for members of
the immediate families. Out-of-town guests were the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Paul F.
HAUN of Lakehurst, N.J., and also his grandmother, Mrs. H. H. BEATTY, of Baltimore, Md.
After a short wedding trip the young couple returned to Waynesburg to resume their
studies at the college.
Mrs. HULL, a graduate of Cecil high school, Venice, is a member of Alpha Gamma Theta
sorority and Sigma Tau Delta. She is employed in the office of the Greene County
Memorial hospital. Her husband attended Waynesburg college in 1942 after his graduation from McDonald high school, and before entering the armed forces.
He served three years in the army and was stationed in North Africa and Italy 30 months.
After his discharge from the army he returned to Waynesburg to continue his college work.
He is a member of the Yellow Jacket varsity football squad and the Letterman's club.
The young couple reside at 30 East Wayne street, Waynesburg.

Miss Virginia Mae Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Bell of 307 Valley street,
McDonald, and Mr. Thomas Rodney Hull of the Moose building, McDonald, were united in
marriage at six o'clock, Monday evening, September 30, 1940, in the First Presbyterian
church, McDonald the pastor the Rev. Oscar E. Gardner, D.D., performing the ring
ceremony.
The bride wore a blue velvet ensemble with blue accessories and a corsage of white
rosebuds. The bridesmaid, Miss Hilda Suplit of McDonald, wore beige crepe with red accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds. Mr. Arthur A. Bell, Jr., of
McDonald, brother of the bride, served as bestman.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents.
There were twenty-five guests with twelve seated at the bride's table.
Mrs. Hull is a 1939 graduate of McDonald high school. Mr. Hull is a 1933 graduate of Cecil high school and was formerly employed in the gasoline department
of the Jennings Oil Co. The young couple left Monday evening for
East Greenwich, R.I., where they will reside.

Miss Virginia Lee Robson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Robson of Coal street, McDonald, and Mr. William David Hull, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hull of
Southview, were united
in marriage Saturday evening, November 20, 1937, in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian
church, the Rev. Oscar E. Gardner, D.D., officiating. Present at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. James Robson, Mr. and Mrs. William Hull, Sr., and Mrs. Charles
Schmek. Lunch was served in the bride's home to a large number of relatives and friends. The
young couple will reside for the present with the bride's parents.
