HEMPEL - SCHAUBEL
Miss Ruth J. SCHAUBEL, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles W. SCHAUBEL of Philadelphia, and the Rev. Walter Thomas
HEMPEL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert HEMPEL of New Castle, were united in marriage at four o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 4, 1938, in the Atonement Lutheran church, Philadelphia. The pastor, the Rev. William L.
STOUGH, D.D., and the Rev. A. M. STUMP of New Castle performed the ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with palms and white roses. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a Chantilly lace (ivory) gown with a matching veil, 5 1/2 yards in length. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor, Miss Marion
SCHAUBEL, sister of the bride, wore a blue lace and net gown. She carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses and iris. The bridesmaids, Miss Mary
BARTHMAIER, Miss Frances HAGEN, Miss Alberta SCHAUBEL, Miss Ruth HETRICK, and Mrs. Carl
SCHAUBEL, all of Philadelphia, and Miss Doris CURTIS of Atlantic City wore bluish pink gowns with matching accessories. They carried pink roses and delphinium. The ushers were the Rev. George DAUM of Slatington. Mr. Joseph SWARTZ, Mr. Harry
SCHAUBEL, and Captain Carl SCHAUBEL (brother of the bride), all of Philadelphia, the Rev. Asa WOHLIEN of Pottstown, and the Rev. Samuel STAUFFER of Philadelphia. The bestman was the Rev. Conrad RAKER of Allentown, roommate of the Rev. Mr. HEMPEL at the Theological seminary. The bride's mother wore a rose beige lace dress with a large horsehair hat to match. Mrs. George HOPKINS of Philadelphia played the wedding music. Mr. George HOPKINS sang "Oh Sweet Mystery of Life" and "Because." Mrs. Margaret NORWOOD sang "Until" and "I Love You Truly."
A reception followed the ceremony in the Rittenhouse Hotel with 150 guests, 20 seated at the bride's table.
The young couple left on a wedding trip to the Atlantic coast. They will be at home after June 25 at 207 Station street, McDonald.
Mr. HEMPEL, a graduate of Thiel college and the Mt. Airy seminary, is pastor of the McDonald Evangelical Lutheran church.
Mrs. HEMPEL is a graduate of the Kensington School for Girls. She was baptized by Dr. STOUGH in the Atonement Lutheran church and has been an active member of the church for a number of years. She met the Rev. Mr. HEMPEL when he was student pastor of the church for three years of seminary study.
The eve of the wedding was celebrated with a bridal dinner given by the bride's father.

HENDERSON - FOLTZ
Miss Gertrude FOLTZ and Mr. Arthur HENDERSON, both of Sharon, were united in marriage at noon Saturday, July 29, 1939, in the manse of the Center United Presbyterian church, Midway, the pastor, the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD, performing the ceremony. The couple were unattended. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., they will reside in Sharon. The bride is a former parishioner of the Rev. Mr. HUBBARD'S in his first charge at Sharon.

HENDERSON - MCMICHAEL
Miss Sally MCMICHAEL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ewing MCMICHAEL of Tyre, and George E. HENDERSON, Jr., son of Mr. George E. HENDERSON of McKees Rocks, were united in marriage at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 1941, in the First Methodist church, Wellsville, Ohio, by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. LAFFERTY.
The bride wore a beige ensemble with blue accessories. Her flowers were gardenias. The bridegroom's sister, Mrs. William MORGAN, and her husband of McKees Rocks were the attendants.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents. The young couple will reside in McKees Rocks.

Miss Edith M. FULLERTON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. FULLERTON of R.D. 2, Burgettstown, and William S. HENDERSON, son of Mr. and Mrs.
C. L. HENDERSON of R.D. 1, Clinton, were united in marriage at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 1943, in the home of the Rev.
S. G. NEAL, pastor of the Hebron Presbyterian church.
The bride wore an iceberg blue suit with navy accessories and a corsage of sweetheart roses. Her attendant, Mrs. Glenn FULLERTON of Florence, wore a navy blue dress with turf tan accessories and a corsage of shasta daisies and pink corn flowers. Glenn FULLERTON, brother of the bride, served as
bestman.
Following the ceremony a wedding supper was given by the bridegroom's mother for the
immediate families. After a short wedding trip the young couple will reside in Clinton.
Mrs. HENDERSON, a graduate of Union high school, Burgettstown, is employed at the SMITH flower shop in Burgettstown. Mr. HENDERSON is a graduate of Findlay
Vocational school, Imperial.
