HAWKEY - MCCAFFREY
Miss Agnes Frances MCCAFFREY, daughter of Mrs. Anna MCCAFFREY of Laurel Hill, McDonald, and the late James J. MCCAFFREY, and George R.
HAWKEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. HAWKEY of Beaver Falls, were united in marriage Wednesday,
November 19, 1947, in the rectory of St. Alphonsus' church, McDonald. The Rev. Fr. Joseph A. BURGOON performed the single ring ceremony.
The bride wore an aqua blue suit with black accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Her only attendant, Mrs. L. F. BROWN, sister of the bride, wore a brown costume with pink accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Harold
HAWKEY, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman.
A reception for 35 guests was held in the evening at the Fort Pitt Inn on the Steubenville Pike. A three-tiered wedding cake formed the table centerpiece. Members of both families were seated at the bridal table. Upon their return from a brief honeymoon through the East, the young couple will make their home in Elwood [sic] City.
Mr. HAWKEY, a graduate of the New Castle high school, served four years in the Armed forces. He is employed by the National Tube Company in Elwood [sic] City.
Mrs. HAWKEY, a graduate of the McDonald high school, was formerly employed in the office of the Oakdale Mining Company.

HAYNES - DESCUTNER
Miss Norma DESCUTNER, dauther of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. DESCUTNER of Akron, Ohio, former McDonald residents, and Kneale M. HAYNES (sp) of Akron were united in marriage Friday evening, September 17, 1937, in the North Hill United Presbyterian church of Akron. The ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr.
H. G. GALLOWAY before an altar beautifully decorated with gladiolus and dahlias. Miss Olive GREEN of Akron gave an organ recital one-half hour before the bride entered, holding the arm of her father. She wore white net over moire, made in a redingote fashion and with a finger tip veil fastened to a juliet cap, and she carried a bouquet of white asters and baby mums. Her sister, Miss Elva DESCUTNER, the bridesmaid, wore brown lace with gold trimmings and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and baby mums. Mr. Frank EMUGH of Akron was the best man. Mr. Victor
DESCUTNER, brother of the bride, and Mr. Edward SEMIER were the ushers. Shirley VICTOR, a niece of the bride, was flower girl. Mr. Charles QUERRY of Akron sang "Because" and "Sweetest Story Ever
Told".
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents. The newleyweds left on a honeymoon trip to Canada, New York, and Pennsylvania. Upon their return they will reside in Barberton, Ohio, where Mr. HAYNES is a draftsman with the Ohio Brass Co. For her wedding trip Mrs. HAYNES chose a gray traveling suit with dubonnet accessories.

HAYS - CLEMENS
Mrs. M. L. ARMSTRONG of Canonsburg announces the marriage of her daughter, Maude E. CLEMENS of Washington, to John C. HAYS of R. D. 1,
Bulger. The marriage was solemnized Wednesday, September 23, with the Rev. Howard RANK, pastor of the Follansbee, W. Va., Presbyterian church, officiating.
The couple had no attendants. The bride was attired in soldier blue crepe with matching accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink rosebuds. After a short wedding trip
they will reside on R. D. 1 Bulger, until November 1 when they will occupy their new home near Florence, Washington county.
