Miss Mary Jean HOFFMAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry HOFFMAN of the Eastend, Pittsburgh, and Donald HARPER, son of Frank E. HARPER and his wife, the former Atlanta CROOKS, were married on Thanksgiving day in the presence of the families. The bride was gowned in teal blue crepe and carried a bouquet of gardenias and valley lilies. Mrs. Edward SHONMING was her sister?s matron of honor and wore a gown of cherry crepe. Frank E. HARPER, Jr., served as bestman. The wedding dinner was held in the Penn-Lincoln hotel, Wilkinsburg. The couple will reside in Wilkinsburg.

Announcement has been made by Mr. and Mrs. Leman C. SMILEY of the Bavington road [sic], Burgettstown, of the marriage of their daughter Dorothy Alberta, to Howard W. HARPER, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. HARPER of Monaca. The wedding ceremony was solemnized October 3, 1940, by the Rev. James BARNETT, pastor of the Monaca First Presbyterian church [sic]. Attendants of the couple were Miss Betty CLARK of Cross Creek and Alivin HARPER, brother of the bridegroom. James W. HARPER, JR. of Coraopolis and Miss Beatrice DAVIS of Coraopolis were united in marriage on Wednesday morning, April 10, at 11 o'clock in the manse of the Third Presbyterian church at Washington, Pa. The ring ceremony was used. After the wedding, the bridal couple was entertained at dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. FULLER of Washington, Pa. They are enjoying a motor trip to Columbus and other places. After May 1 they will be at home at 1617 Vance street, Coraopolis. Mrs. HARPER is a daughter of Mrs. David DAVIS, formerly of Imperial.

The following account of the wedding of Kenneth M. HARPER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer HARPER, former residents of McDonald and Venice, appeared in the Mt. Pleasant, Mich., daily newspaper:

?Pink snapdragons and white stock were used effectively at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray MONROE, South Fancher street, Friday evening, March 24, when their daughter, Ruth Maxine, spoke her vows to Kenneth M. HARPER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer HARPER, of this city.

The ceremony was read at eight o?clock by the Reverend C. B. HAWKINS, pastor of the First Presbyterian church.
Miss MONROE was lovely in a street length model of aqua with which she wore fuchsia accessories and carried a bridal bouquet of camellias.

Miss Margery WINSLOW, as maid of honor, wore a navy tailored dress, with navy accessories and a shoulder corsage of gardenias.

John HARPER, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony and the bridal table was decorated with a three-tiered wedding cake and topped with the traditional bride and groom. White burning tapers in crystal holders lighted the table.
After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. HARPER will make their home in Mt. Pleasant when Mr. HARPER is employed at the CAPLE greenhouse.

Mrs. HARPER is a graduate of the Mt. Pleasant high school and Central State Teachers college. She also is a graduate of the Ferris institute, Big Rapids, and has been employed in the office of the Roosevelt Refinery.

Out-of-town guests included: Mrs. Jennie NORMAN, Plainwell; Mr. and Mrs. Lee YECKLEY, Kalamazoo; Mr. and Mrs. Jay MONROE and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey MONROE of Ostego, Mrs. Lloyd CADY and Miss Elaine CADY of Bay City, Mrs. Lucinda BAUER, Battle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo HARRISON, Harrison and Ernest MONROE of Ann Arbor.?
