Miss Clara Belle LEWIS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. LEWIS of Southview, and Henry GREEN, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Flo GREEN, of Detroit, Mich., were married at the home of the Rev. C. T. LITTELL in Venice at 2:30 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, JUne 20, 1922. The couple were unattended. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Mr. and Mrs. GREEN left Wednesday for Ohio to visit relatives and from there will go to Detroit, where the groom is employed in the Ford motor works, and they will go to housekeeping there. The bride is well known in the Venice and Hickory locality and attended the Hickory high school.

Miss Sibyl GRIFFIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. GRIFFIN of Eustis, Florida, and Raymond GREEN, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. GREEN of McDonald, were united in marriage Friday, April 28, 1939, by the Rev. Henry ROGERS, at the manse of the First Presbyterian church of Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace S. GOURLEY of Houston attended the couple. After the ceremony a small reception was held in the Mt. Vernon room of the George Washington hotel. Mrs. GREEN attended Southern Junior college at Chattanooga, Tenn., Ringling School of Art at Sarasota, Florida, and has recently completed her work at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Mr. GREEN is connected with the sales promotion department of the West Penn Power Co., with offices in Pittsburgh. The couple left for a motor trip to Niagara Falls.

Miss Sara Cleola WHITE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. WHITE of Bridgeville, became the bride of Dr. Lester Lamont GREER, son of R. A. GREER of Mt Lebanon, Friday afternoon, September 4th at 5:30 o'clock in the home of her parents, with the Rev. Dr. E. C. McCOWN, pastor of the Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian church officiating. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore crepe embroidered with beads and crystal, and her tulle veil was held with a bandeau of pearls. She carried a shower of white roses and lilies of the valley and wore a gold bracelet worn by her grandmother 50 years ago.  Miss Anne HAZLETT of Vanderbilt, as maid of honor, appeared in blue chiffon and carried yellow roses, while the bridesmaid. Miss Gyla WEIMER of Coraopolis, wore pale pink chiffon and carried pink roses. Sturgis Ward WHITE, brother of the bride, was best man, and Grant A. MASON of Brockside Farms was the usher. A reception and dinner followed the ceremony, with covers laid for 12 at the bridal table, which was decorated with summer flowers. Dr. and Mrs. GREER will take an eastern motor trip. 

Miss WHITE was a teacher in our Junior High school last year and is well known to many McDonald people.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie SCOTT of Sturgeon have announced the marriage of their daughter, Marie [SCOTT], to Mr. Richard GRESH, JR., son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard GRESH, SR., of Oakdale on Saturday, April 26, 1947. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Joseph H. RODGERS, in the manse of the First Presbyterian church, McDonald. Miss LaRue MCCLELLAND of Noblestown and Miss LaVerne SCOTT, sister of the bride, were the attendants. Lawrence MCLAUGHLIN of Oakdale served as bestman.
