A very pretty double wedding took place in the W. H. COOPER home in Imperial at eight o'clock Thursday evening, October 7, 1926, when Miss Caroline Louis COOPER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. COOPER, became the bride of Robert GOWER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry GOWER of Latrobe, and Miss Mae SHOUP, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. SHOUP of the Campbell's Run road, became the bride of Robert COOPER of Imperial. The Rev. H. S. SHIMP, pastor of the Montour Presbyterian church, performed the ceremony. Miss SHOUP and Mr. COOPER were married first, and Miss COOPER man. Mr. and Mrs. COOPER were the attendants for Miss COOPER and Mr. GOWER. Miss COOPER wore a gown of midnight blue canton crepe and carried a bouquet of bride's roses and valley lilies. Miss SHOUP wore a gown of wild honey over pink georgette and carried a bouquet of bride's roses and valley lilies. A dinner and reception followed the ceremony. Covers for fourteen were laid at the bride's table, the centerpiece of which was a pot of dahlias and roses. The COOPER home was tastefully decorated with the season's flowers. Mr. and Mrs. COOPER will reside in the LEACH house in Imperial.  Mr. and Mrs. GOWER will reside in Greensburg, where Mr. GOWER is employed by the Peoples Natural Gas company.
