PEACOCK - GALLAGHER

Miss Rachel PEACOCK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. PEACOCK of West Lincoln avenue, McDonald, and Mr.
Wesley GALLAGHER of Butler were united in marriage at 2:00 o'clock New Year's day, 1927, at the home of the
officiating minister, the Rev. Dr. W. D. IRONS, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald.
After the ceremony the young couple went to their new home in Burgettstown.
Mrs. GALLAGHER attended McDonald high school and is a graduate of the Liberty Business
school, Pittsburgh. Mr. GALLAGHER is an electrician, and for the last four years has been employed by the
West Penn Power Co. at McDonald.

GALLO - CARUSO
On Saturday, October 11, 1947, Miss ROSE CARUSO, daughter
of Mr.? PATSY CARUSO of Tyre, and Mr. JOSEPH GALLO of
Carnegie were united in marriage in St. Columbkille church, Imperial
with the Rev. Fr. KOLAKOWSKI performing the ceremony.
The bride was attired in a long heavy white satin gown trimmed in a
bertha of lace. Her long veil was also trimmed in the same lace. She
carried a bouquet of white roses with babies-breath hanging from the
streamers. The maid of honor, Miss IRENE FARAGO, of Coraopolis
wore a long gold taffeta gown with a gold crown sequin headdress.
She carried red roses. The bridesmaids were Miss ELFREDA GERVAS,
of Tyre, who wore a long aqua gown. Miss THERESA GERVAS of Tyre, who wore a fuchsia gown, and Miss MILDRED TOKURSKI of
Tyre, who also wore a long fuchsia gown. They each wore a silver sequin headdress and carried bouquets of pink roses. As matron of honor she chose her cousin, Mrs. ROSE DELLAPIAZZA of R.D.1
McDonald, who wore a long blue taffeta gown and silver sequin head
dress. She carried pink roses. JOSEPH PILEGGI of Fairmont, W.Va. served as bestman. The usherswere RAYMOND MORETTI, PETE MOLINAR, and DOMENIC ZANFANIO, all of Carnegie, and JOSEPH DELLAPIAZZA of R.D.1 McDonald.
In the evening a reception was held for 300 at the Y, Imperial Veterans club, with JOE TAXX ? furnishing the music. A three-tiered wedding
cake formed the centerpiece.
On returning from a wedding trip to St. Louis, Mo, the young couple
are making their home in Tyre.

GAMBLE - WOLFF
At a candlelight ceremony at six o'clock on Saturday,
September 21, 1946, in the Congruity Presbyterian church,
New Alexandria, Miss Mary Lyda WOLFF, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James K. WOLFF of New Alexandria, was
married to Dean Franklin GAMBLE, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Franklin O. GAMBLE of McDonald R.D. with
Dr. George S. BOWDEN officiating. The church was
decorated with candelabra, palms, ferns, and fall flowers.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned
in ivory satin with fingertip length veil of French illusion
and carried white roses. Elizabeth L. WOLFF, a sister
of the bride, was maid of honor and was attired in fuchsia
nylon taffeta. Miss Helen WOLFF, a cousin of the bride,
was a bridesmaid and wore a gown of yellow nylon taffeta,
while Miss Virginia E. SPALDING, room-mate of the
bride at Pennsylvania State college, was another bridesmaid
and wore a gown of blue nylon taffeta. Fall flowers carried
by the attendants complemented the colors of their gowns. James C. WOLFF of Akron, Ohio, nephew of the bride
acted as ring bearer. Warren HAZEN of Ellwood City,
classmate of the bridegroom at Pennsylvania State college,
served as bestman. The ushers were James S. WOLFF of
Akron, Ohio, and Boyd [WOLFF] and Merle T. WOLFF, brothers
of the bride, and Harvey GAMBLE of York, brother of
the bridegroom.
Miss. Mary PENMAN of Irwin played the traditional bridal music and accompanied Mrs.
Robert CREDO of
Pittsburgh singing "Because," "I Love Thee," and "O Promise
Me" preceding the ceremony, and "The Lord's Prayer" during
the ceremony. Mrs. CREDO was a former classmate of the
bride's while attending Pennsylvania College for Women.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home
of the bride at which Mrs. Leroy S. WOLFF of Napanee,
Ontario, and Mrs. Ray WOLFF poured.
The bride received her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from
Pennsylvania College for Women and her master's degree in
bio-chemistry from Pennsylvania State college. Since then she
has been an instructor in chemistry at Cedar Crest college,
Allentown, research assistant at the Eastern Regional Research
Laboratories of the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Chestnut
Hill, and most recently has been engaged in technical sales work
for Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, N.J.
Mr. GAMBLE was graduated from McDonald high school in 1938 and from Pennsylvania State College. He was employed as
a chemist by Corn Products, Chicago, Ill., before entering the
service. He served three years in the Army air corps, including
eighteen months as a pilot in the Pacific area. He is now enrolled
as graduate student in the chemistry department at Pennsylvania
State college. After a wedding trip in Canada Mr. and Mrs. GAMBLE will
be at home at 1104 South Atherton street, State College.

Miss Mary Elizabeth TILBROOK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F.
TILBROOK of
Irwin [Pa],
Westmoreland county, and Mr. Harvey R. GAMBLE, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. GAMBLE
of R. D. 1, McDonald [Pa], were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 1940,
in the home of a Presbyterian minister in State College [Pa].
Mrs. GAMBLE is a 1938 graduate of Penn State [Pa], where she majored in home economics.
She taught for two years in the Butler public schools. Mr. GAMBLE, also a 1938
graduate of Penn State, is employed by the Eastern States Farmers' Exchange, and
is located in Mifflin, Juniata county [Pa].
