GAITENS ? McGREGOR
At a quite [sic] ceremony solemnized at the Immaculate Conception church Saturday, November
13 [or 18?], Miss Kathleen McGREGOR, who made her home with her uncle and aunt,
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. LITTLE, Washington, was united in marriage with Philip
GAITENS, son of Robert GAITENS of Sturgeon. Rev. Fr. M. J. HUGHES, pastor of the church, officiated at
8:00 a.m.
Preceding the ceremony, James McGAHAN sang several selections including ?Ave Maria,? and the wedding march was played by the church organist, Mrs. Irene Johnson.
The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, C. J. LITTLE, wore a gabardine suit of the new electric blue shade with matching accessories and a white orchid corsage.
Her only attendant was her cousin, Miss Martha MULLOULY of Masontown, who wore a gray suite with matching accessories with corsage of pink rosebuds.
Carl McGregor, Glendale, served as Mr. GAITENS? bestman.
Supplementing the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was held at the bride?s home for the wedding party and Mr.
GAITENS, father of the bridegroom. The bridal table was centered with the wedding cake baked in the form of two bells, each of which bore the name of the bride and bridegroom in colored icing. Baby mums were also used on the table, and the home was decorated with other fall flowers.
In the afternoon the bridal party went to the home of the bridegroom in Sturgeon where a reception was held with some 40 relatives and friends present. Later the couple left on a ten-day Eastern honeymoon, after which they will be at home in their newly furnished apartment at
[202?] Third street, McDonald.
The bride was graduated from Washington high schools and has been employed as an operator on the Washington exchange of the Bell Telephone Company.
The bridegroom was graduated from South Fayette high school and Pennsylvania State college with the class of 1939. A World War II veteran, he saw three and one-half years service in the U. S. army, three years of which were spent in the European theater. He is now associated with the Arlington Beverage Company, McDonald.
Prior to her marriage the bride was honored at several give showers, including one at the
GAITENS home in Sturgeon at which approximately 100 guests were present.

GAITENS - KESSLER
Miss Elizabeth Marie KESSLER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester G.
KESSLER of Sturgeon [Pa], and Patrick James GAITENS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
GAITENS, also
of Sturgeon [Pa], were united in marriage at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, August 4, 1937,
in St. Patrick's church, Noblestown [Pa], the Rev. Fr. Charles M. KEANE officiating.
The altars were beautifully decorated with gladiolus and ferns. Miss Florence
HOHN
played the wedding music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a
Queen Anne tulle veil and white satin dress with train. She carried white rosaries
and a bouquet of white lilies with streamers of lilies of the valley and fern.
Her maid of honor, Miss Lucille SACCO of Pittsburgh [Pa], chose a baby blue chiffon
gown with matching picture hat and accessories, and carried Talisman roses.
Mr. Philip GAITENS was his brother's bestman. Following the ceremony a reception
was held in the Woman's club house in McDonald [Pa] with eight seated at the bride's
table. The centerpiece was a large wedding cake. The club house was beautifully
decorated in season's flowers. Mr. and Mrs. GAITENS left for a motor trip to
the Great Lakes and Canada and on returning will be at home to their many friends
on the Noblestown road, Noblestown [Pa]. Both are graduates of South Fayette
[Pa] high school [sic] with the class of 1931.

Miss Eleanor A. McGREGOR, grand-daughter of Mrs. Rose Callahan of Sturgeon [Pa], and
Mr. Andrew F. GAITENS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert GAITENS of Sturgeon [Pa], were united
in marriage at 9 o'clock Thursday morning (Thanksgiving day), November 23, 1939, in
St. Patricks church, Noblestown [Pa], the Rev. Fr. C. M. KEANE officiating.
The bride wore a gown of ivory satin with a finger tip veil. She carried white mums and
babybreath. The bridesmaid, Miss
Kathleen McGREGOR of Washington [Pa], wore blue taffeta and carried yellow mums. Mr. Philip GAITENS of Sturgeon
[Pa] served as bestman. Miss Florence HAHN of Nobelestown [Pa] played the wedding music.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the McDonald [Pa] Woman's club house.
There were 125 guests with sixteen seated at the bride's table.
The young couple took a wedding trip to Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Mrs. GAITENS
is a graduate of South Fayette [Pa] high school. Mr. GAITENS, a graduate of South
Fayette [Pa] high school and a business training college, is a well-known dancing teacher.

GALBRAITH, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Harper GALBRAITH of Fourth street, McDonald, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 1946, in the home of the bride. The Rev. Joseph H.
RODGERS, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, McDonald, performed the single-ring ceremony. The bride was attired in a white lace street-length dress with matching accessories and a corsage of white roses and babies? breath. The maid of honor, Miss Loretta
CEYROLLES, sister of the bride, wore an aqua street-length dress and a corsage of red roses. Robert
GALBRAITH, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman. A dinner for ten guests was served following the ceremony in the Fort Pitt hotel, Pittsburgh. The young couple left for a week?s stay in the Adirondack mountains, after which they will reside with the bridegroom?s parents. Mr. and Mrs.
GALBRAITH are both 1942 graduates of McDonald high school. Mrs. GALBRAITH is employed as cost clerk in the Midland office of the Pittsburgh Coal Co.
Mr. GALBRAITH is employed at the Tillinghast Frozen Food Lockers, McDonald.

Miss Mary CARLISLE of Hickory and Walter GALBREATH of Burgettstown were married at Wellsburg, W. Va., on Thursday, June 14, 1917. They motored there and were married without their friends being the wiser until the next day. Mr. GALBREATH is employed in the garage of PATSCH BROS., at Houston, and the couple will reside at Houston [Pa], where they have a home already furnished.
