AYRES - FRANKLIN

Miss Ethel Mae AYRES and George Leon FRANKLIN were united in marriage Monday evening at 8:15 o'clock.
The ceremony took place at the parsonage of the First United
Presbyterian church, Rev. W. D. IRONS officiating. The couple left on the nine o'clock train for a trip to Cleveland and
upon their return will be at home at 408 Valley street.
Mr. FRANKLIN is employed in the oil field, and Mrs. FRANKLIN before her marriage, was employed
as saleslady at F. S. CHAMBON's store. The young couple are well known in McDonald and they
have the best wishes of their many friends.

PLETINCKS - FRANKLIN

A very pretty wedding took place at five-thirty o'clock Wednesday evening, June 16, 1926, in the PLETINCKS home at Sturgeon, when Miss Marie
PLETINCKS, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph PLETINCKS, became the bride of Leon J. FRANKLIN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor FRANKLIN of Valley street. The ring ceremony was used by the
Rev. Auguste DEVOS, pastor of the French United Presbyterian church of McDonald. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of gray georgette and
carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses showered with lilies of the valley. Miss Mabel
PLETINCKS, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and wore a gown of rose colored
canton crepe and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. Hector FRANKLIN was his brother's best man. The bridal party entered the livingroom to the stains of Mendelssohn's
wedding march played by Miss Olga SUPLIT of Valley street. A wedding dinner at the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. Covers were laid for eighteen
at the bride's table. The house and table were tastefully decorated in the season's flowers. Mr. and Mrs. FRANKLIN left the same evening for a trip to the Great Lakes.
Upon their return they will be at home in Ambridge.

TURNER - FRANKLIN.
[ FRANKLIN is the Groom.]
A pretty home wedding was that of Miss Alice Blanche TURNER
of Midway and Mr. Leon Joseph FRANKLIN of McDonald, which
took place Tuesday evening, October 17, 1922 at seven o'clock, at
the residence of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor FRANKLIN,
Valley street, McDonald. The Rev. Dr. Alexandre MAGE, pastor of the
French United Presbyterian church, officiated, the ring ceremony being
used. Mrs. Herman LEONARD was matron of honor and Mr. LEONARD
was best man. Little Miss Evalyn [sic] BROWETT was flower girl and the
ribbon bearers were little Miss Martha DONALDSON and Master Jules
BROWETT. The bride wore a gown of white silk and a veil of tulle. Her
traveling suit was of brown with hat to match. Covers were laid for twelve at the bride's table. Mr. and Mrs. FRANKLIN left the same evening by auto for
Pittsburgh, where they took he train for Buffalo Wednesday morning.
On their return from their wedding trip they will reside in Midway.

FRANKLIN - KROWNAPPLE
A very pretty wedding took place Monday morning, August 20, 1928, at 8:30 o'clock in the
presence of about thirty guests and relatives when Miss Linna KROWNAPPLE, 441 North Eight street,
Coshocton, Ohio, and Roy FRANKLIN, also of Coshocton, were united in marriage by
the Rev. Fr. Anthony J. DOMM of the Sacred Heart church. The bridal couple were
attended by Miss Anna HAVERICK and Mr. Sanford HEISSER. The bride wore a beautiful
beige lace dress with hat and shoes to correspond, and carried an arm bouquet of
Ophelia roses, snapdragons, and baby's breath. Her attendant was lovely in a rose
beige gown with corresponding accessories, and her bouquet was of cream colored roses
and baby's breath. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the
bridal party in the Stagecoach tavern. Immediately after the breakfast a reception
followed at the bride's home for the relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. FRANKLIN
left on a motor trip to Washington, D.C., Atlantic City, N.J., New York City, and
Philadelphia [Pa]. Upon their return they will make their home in Coshocton, where
Mr. FRANKLIN is employed as machinist at the Clow plant.

FRAZIER - NEILSON
Miss Geraldine NEILSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William NEILSON of
Avalon [Pa], formerly of Imperial [Pa], and Mr. Robert FRAZIER, son of Mr. and Mrs. James FRAZIER
of Avalon [Pa], were married Saturday, November 23, 1940, in the home of the bride's
parents. The Rev. Dr. J. Norman HUNTER of the Avalon Presbyterian church performed
the ceremony in the presence of 100 guests.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with a fingertip
veil. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses, pompoms, and lilies of the valley.
Her only attendant, Miss Elizabeth WOODRING of Pittsburgh [Pa], wore a gown of rose
net over rose satin and carried pink roses and blue lace flowers. Mr. Alfred Burns
NEILSON, cousin of the bride, served as bestman and Billy NEILSONnephew of the bride,
was ring bearer. Mrs. S. T. MAIR of Allison Park [Pa] played the wedding music and
Miss Ruth [HUNTER] and Miss Helen HUNTER of Avalon [Pa] sang.
A reception followed the ceremony. After a Southern wedding trip, the couple will
go to housekeeping in Avalon [Pa].
Imperial relatives and friends who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Charles
CUNNINGHAM, Mr. and Mrs. Paul RICHARD, and Mr. and Mrs. M. D. CHALMERS.

FREDERICK - ORLOWSKI
Leon FREDERICK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph FREDERICK of Marion avenue and Miss Helen ORLOWSKI of Carnegie were united in marriage at 10 a.m. Monday,
September 7, 1936, in St. Mary's Roman Catholic church, Carnegie. The Rev. Fr. A. POWELKIEWICZ performed the ceremony. The bride was attired in a white
satin gown and veil with accessories to match. She carried a bouquet of lilies. Miss Nellie and Miss Clara FREDERICK, sisters of the bridegroom, were the
bridesmaids. Their gowns were of powder blue and pale red with white accessories. Miss Veronica
YARMUL, maid of honor, was attired in a pink gown with matching
accessories and carried a bouquet of pink roses. A reception in Hussar hall, Carnegie, followed the ceremony.
