FLON - KOVATCH

Miss Jane KOVATCH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve KOVATCH of Westland, and Henry FLON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel FLON of Indiana, were united in marriage at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 1943, in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic church, 
Canonsburg, by the Rev. Edward J. ISTOCIN.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown, princess style, and her finger-tip veil cascaded from a crown of pearls. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses. Miss Dolores MATALAY, maid of honor, wore pink satin
and carried red roses and Miss Lillian HETE, bridesmaid, wore blue satin and net and carried red roses. Frank PAWLOSKY served as bestman and William ORGANIE ushered.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was held at the Westland hall for 100 guests,
followed by a dance and reception in the hall in the evening.

Mr. FLON is employed by the Pittsburgh Coal Co. at Westland. Mrs. FLON is employed in the office of the company.

The young couple will reside in Westland.

Mrs. Catherine Bender Thomas, daughter of Mrs. Anna BENDER of Oakdale, and Joseph FLOOD, son of Mr. and Mrs. James FLOOD, son of Mr. and Mrs. James FLOOD of Noblestown, were united in marriage at nine o?clock Thursday morning, June 26, 1947, at a nuptial high mass in St. Patrick?s Roman Catholic church, Noblestown, by the Rev. Fr. Martin P. FLAHERTY.

The bride wore a white gabardine suit with white accessories and a corsage of an orchid and red roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Margaret FLOOD, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pink gabardine suit with white accessories and a corsage of an orchid and tea roses. Thomas Flood served as his brother?s bestman. Mrs. Hazel McLAUGHLIN, church organist, played the wedding music. Mass was sung by Frank SLOVACK.

A wedding breakfast was served to thirty guests in the Village Tavern, Oakdale. The three-tiered wedding cake was topped with a miniature bride and groom. After a wedding trip to Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. FLOOD will be at home in Oakdale.

Miss Mary BRITT, of Sturgeon, and Stephen FLOOD, of Noblestown, were married in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic church at Noblestown on Tuesday morning. The bride is a daughter of John BRITT, superintendent for the Pittsburg Coal Company at Sturgeon. The bride is one of the best known young women in this section of the country and is highly popular in social circles. The groom is a popular telegraph operator at Noblestown. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father BRENNAN and took place at a solemn nuptial high mass at 9:30.  The church was elaborately decorated and every person of any prominence in social circles in this section was present. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the bride's parents' home and after breakfast the young couple went east on their honeymoon. The couple will reside in Noblestown upon their return.
