At a wedding solemnized last Saturday evening in the home of her parents, Miss Olive L. SMITH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vance M. SMITH of Hickory, became the bride of John L. FARRELL, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. FARRELL of West Middletown. The Rev. Cornelius S. Thomas, pastor of the Mr. Prospect Presbyterian church, performed the ceremony.

Miss SMITH had her sister, Miss Elsie SMITH, as her maid of honor, and a niece, Joyce Ann WALKER, as flower girl. Roberta SMITH, another sister of the bride, played the wedding music, preceding the ceremony. Howard V. FARRELL of Claysville served as his brother's bestman and Robert M. SMITH, brother of the bride, was the usher. 

After a short wedding trip to New York, Mr. and Mrs. FARRELL will be at home at 123 Johns avenue, McDonald.

Miss Dorothy Urbas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Urbas of Southview, and Earl Fartro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carmen Fartro of Canonsburg, were united in marriage at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 1944, in St. Patrick?s church, Canonsburg.

The pastor, the Rev. Fr. J. Edward Istocin, officiated.

The attendants were Pfc. Steve Greza, and Cpl. Anne Fartro of WAC, sister of the bridegroom.

The couple have gone to housekeeping in Canonsburg.

Miss Louise SCHALL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl SCHALL of Oakdale, and Henry S. FARYNA, son Mr. and Mrs. Vincent FARYNA of Perry, N.Y., were united in marriage at a pretty spring ceremony on Monday afternoon, May 24, 1943, in the Sage chapel of Cornell university, Ithaca, N.Y. The university pastor, the Rev. Frederick W. BRINK, D. D., performed the double ring ceremony. The altar of the chapel was lit with candles in candlabra [sic=candelabra] against a background of palms. 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a a light blue suit with a small hat made of white flowers and a corsage of amazon lilies. Her sister, Miss Elsie SCHALL, as bridesmaid, wore an identical suit of gray green and a small hat made of pink roses. Her corsage as of matching roses. Edmund FARYNA, a brother of the bridegroom
and a student in the Cornell pre-medical school, served as bestman and the ushers were Dalvin DEGOLYER of Castile, N. Y. and Herbert ANGELL of Staten Island, N.Y., both students at Cornell. Each man in the wedding party wore a white carnation in his coat lapel and the ushers wore gray covert cloth suits. The bride's mother wore a 
crepe and lace dress of dusty rose .......... [the rest is missing].

Miss Marie Louise CHALMERS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.D. CHALMERS of Coraopolis, and James D. FATE, U.S.N., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. FATE of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, were united in marriage at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 1943, in the chapel of the First Presbyterian church, Coraopolis. The Rev. E. B. WELSH, D.D., officiated. 

The bride, a junior at Ohio university, will resume her studies and the bridegroom will return to the naval base at Treasure Island, San Francisco, Calif.

[Miss Mary B. WEAVER became the bride of John Lee WHITE, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. WHITE] [ Miss Bertha J. WEAVER became the bride of Henry W. FEHL, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. FEHL.]

A double wedding, beautiful in all its appointments, was that of Monday afternoon (Christmas) when the daughters of F. R. WEAVER were married at four o'clock in their home in Chartiers township. Miss Mary B. WEAVER became the bride of John Lee WHITE, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. WHITE, and Miss Bertha J. WEAVER became the bride of Henry W. FEHL, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. FEHL.
The wedding service was read by the Rev. David DEMPSTER of the Central Presbyterian church, Canonsburg, who used the ring ceremony. Mr. DEMPSTER was assisted by the Rev. Dr. W. F. BROWN.

The brides were gowned in white canton crepe trimmed in pearl and orange blossoms. They carried bridal bouquets of white roses. The ceremony was performed in the living room before an embankment of ferns, begonias, and Christmas poinsettias. Miss Florence WHITE, sister of the bridegroom, played the wedding music. Following the ceremony a reception and wedding dinner was served. A bride's cake centered the bridal table, covers being laid for twelve. The home was elaborately decorated in Christmas colors. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Buffalo, Mr. and Mrs. WHITE will go to housekeeping in the J. R. WHITE home in Cecil township, and Mr. and Mrs. FEHL will reside with the bride's father, F. R. WEAVER.

Mrs. Andrew Felbo Thomas, sister of the bridegroom, and Mr. Andrew Thomas, brother of the bride, were the attendants. The bride wore blue with matching accessories. The young couple will reside in Bagley, Md.

Mrs. Felbo is the sister of Charles Thomas of Cecil and is well-known in this district.
