Miss Florence E. RETZER of Hickory and David Glenn FARRAR of Midway were quietly married at seven o'clock Thursday evening, October 19, 1922, by the Rev. Charles STUNKARD at the United Presbyterian parsonage, Hickory. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Mary E. RETZER and was graduated from the Hickory Vocational high school in 1921. Mr. FARRAR, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. FARRAR, is a prominent young farmer, a graduate of the Hickory Vocational school, and a veteran of the World war with an overseas record.

On Thursday evening, October 20, 1921, at six o'clock, the marriage of Miss Martha YOUNG to John C. FARRAR took place at the home of the bride's parents in Fifth street. Rev. B. B. HARRISON, pastor of the First Presbyterian church performed the ceremony. The bride was gowned in embroidered georgette over charmeuse, and carried a shower of white 
roses and lilies of the valley. A dinner followed the ceremony, with covers laid for 30. Mr. and Mrs. FARRAR left for an eastern motor trip, and after December 1, will be at home in McDonald. 

Mrs. FARRAR is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert YOUNG of Fifth street and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. FARRAR of McDonald, R.D. Both are well known young people of McDonald and have the best wishes of many friends.

FARRAR - YOUNG 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert YOUNG of Fifth street, McDonald, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Martha Witherspoon YOUNG, and John Crooks FARRAR of R. D. 4, McDonald, which was solemnized Thursday evening, October 20, 1921, at six o'clock at the home of the bride, the Rev. B. B. HARRISON, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of McDonald, officiating. The bride was gowned in embroidered georgette over charmeuse and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. A reception and dinner followed the ceremony, covers being laid for thirty. Upon their return from an Eastern trip Mr. and Mrs. FARRAR will be at home on R. D. 4, McDonald, after December 1st. 
Miss YOUNG is a well-known music teacher. Mr. FARRAR is a graduate of the Canonsburg high school.

The wedding was a quiet but pretty one. The bride was attired in cream-colored cashmere and carried a lose bunch of chrysanthemums.

A very pretty home wedding took place on Saturday, September 3, at noon, when Miss Mary Elizabeth CAMPBELL, daughter of Mrs. Grant L. CAMPBELL, of West State street, became the bride of Robert FARRAR, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles FARRAR, of Hastings avenue. The bride wore a gown of white crepe de chine and carried lilies-of-the-valley. The Rev. M. W. RIDDLE, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, performed the ceremony. The home was very attractive with the many garden flowers. A wedding dinner followed after which Mr. and Mrs. FARRAR left for a wedding trip to Cambridge Springs. Misses Jean and Frances LYTLE were the only guests present except for the immediate families. Mr. and Mrs. FARRAR are at home at the home of the groom's parents on Hastings avenue.
