Local Girl Weds Sturgeon Man
[ DUFOUR - HANS ]
Miss Delories HANS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul HANS of R.D. 1, McDonald, and Charles A.
DUFOUR, Jr., of Sturgeon, were united in marriage at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 1947, in the bride's home. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. BURRY of Carnegie in a room decorated with ferns and flowers.
The bride wore a gown of marquisette and a veil of white net fashioned with white daisies. She also wore a single strand of pearls and a bracelet that her mother wore at her wedding. She carried a bouquet of gladioli and snapdragons. The maid of honor, Mabel KINNY, sister of the bride, wore a gown of blue net. The bridesmaids, Mrs. William HANS, sister-in-law of the bride, and Dorothy Jean GEORGE, cousin of the bride, wore pink gowns. The bestman was Paul HANS, brother of the bride. William HANS, brother of the bride, and Leonard SHAGAS, a friend, served as ushers, and Raymond HANS, a brother of the bride attended. The flower girls, Delories HANS and Virgina HANS, nieces of the bride, wore white dresses and carried a bouquet of garden flowers. The wedding march was played by Miss Elaine SEABRIGHT.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the bride's home for sixty guests. The table centerpiece was two large three-tiered wedding cakes with a miniature bride and groom. They received a number of useful gifts.
The two oldest guests that attended were August GEORGE, grandfather of the bride, and Amil DUFOUR, grandfather of the bridegroom. Guests were from Ohio, Aliquippa, New Eagle, Midway, Carnegie, Sturgeon, Oakdale, and Imperial.
Following the wedding they went on a honeymoon to Niagara Falls and are now residing in their newly furnished home on the Steubenville Pike, R.D. 1, McDonald.

A prettily appointed wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas CLINTON, east of town, Wednesday evening, November 22, 1922, at six o'clock, when their niece, Miss Alfredn M. BAIRD, became the bride of Mr. Marcel DUFRESNE of McDonald. The Rev. J. H. DEBOLT officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. E. C. BAIRD, of McKeesport. She wore a gown of blue Canton crepe and carried white roses. Miss Ella EILER and Mr. Sylvester BRENNAN of McDonald were the attendants. The wedding march was played by Miss Elizabeth CLINTON, cousin of the bride. Covers for twenty-seven were laid, and the color scheme was car-
