DOWLER - CULLEY
Miss Ruth CULLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. G. CULLEY of R. D. 1,
Bulger, and Harry DOWLER, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry B. DOWLER, Sr., of
Burgettstown, were united in marriage Thursday evening, August 27, 1942, in the manse of the Presbyterian church, Florence.
The bride was attired in green velveteen with a matching ribbon in her hair and wore a corsage of yellow roses. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Robert
FLITON of Burgettstown, who wore American Beauty velveteen, a matching ribbon in her hair, and a corsage of asters. The bridegroom had as his
bestman, Al MARCUCCI of Burgettstown.
Both Mr. and Mrs. DOWLER are graduates of Union high school. After a brief trip, they returned to Burgettstown, where they reside. Mr. DOWLER is employed
by the American Zinc and Chemical Co., Langeloth.

RAAB ]
The R. E. DOWLER home near Candor [Pa] was the scene of a reception
dinner recently in honor of their son Audley's [Audley DOWLER's] marriage to Miss Ella Mae
RAAB of Midway [Pa]. The decorations were carried out in red and
green. Among the dinner guests were the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. NAIRN,
the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. KERR and the entire bridal party. The same
evening a party followed and about 80 guests were present. The
newlyweds received many beautiful and useful presents. A delicious
lunch was served and the evening was spent in renewing friendships,
interspersed with music.

On Wednesday evening, November 28, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. RAAB of Midway, Miss Birdie Marie RAAB became the bride of Robert Audley DOWLER, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. DOWLER of Midway. The wedding was solemnized by Rev. R. W. NAIRN, pastor of the Center United Presbyterian church of Midway. The ring service was used. Miss Ariel B. RAAB was her sister's bridesmaid, and Verne DOWLER was best man. A wedding dinner followed the ceremony after which the young couple left for a tour of eastern cities. The guests present included the families of the bride and bridegroom.

Mr. and Mrs. M. J. DICKSON announce the marriage of their daughter Emily Edith to Mr. William L. DOWLING, which took place on Saturday, November 12, 1921, at the home of the bride's parents in Pittsburgh. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Helen DICKSON, and the groom by the twin brother of the bride, Mr. S. Warren DICKSON. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. C. HILDEBRAND, pastor of Union United Presbyterian church. Mr. DOWNING holds a lucrative position in the office of the Wabash Railroad Co. in Pittsburgh.
After spending a week in Eastern cities Mr. and Mrs. DOWNING will reside in Pittsburgh.

DOWNS ? WADE
Miss Audrey Marian Wade, daughter of Mrs. Emma Wade of Midway, and Mr. Wesley Downs, son of Mr. Fred Downs of South Heights, were united in marriage Saturday, April 30, 1938, in the Center United Presbyterian manse, the Rev. Alfred Hubbard officiating.
The bride wore a blue crepe dress with pink pastel accessories and a corsage of sweetheart roses. She was attended by Miss Margaret
Brabson, who was attired in luggage brown and wore a corsage of sweetheart roses. Mr. Theodore Neely of South Heights was the best man. Mr. and Mrs. Downs will reside in South Heights.
