On Dec. 3, at 2 p.m., Mr. Leon Thompson DOUGLAS of McDonald and Miss Florence Sarah DUNCAN of Canonsburg were united in marriage by the Rev. W. D. IRONS, D.D. of McDonald. The ceremony was performed in the Greenside avenue United Presbyterian Church in Canonsburg. Both the contracting parties are well known in McDonald. Mr. DOUGLASS [sic] is the prominent Druggist of our town in which he has lived all his life, and Miss DUNCAN is the youngest daughter of Mr. Wm. S. DUNCAN who lived in McDonald till two years ago when he moved to Canonsburg. The wedding trip will be to Cleveland, Detroit and other places on the Lakes. After their return they will go to housekeeping in McDonald.

The marriage of Miss Lois McVICKER, daughter of Mrs. Agnes McVICKER, and Mr. John Allen DOUGLASS, son of Mrs. Arthur Smith, took place on Wednesday evening, April 30, at 6:30 o?clock in the First Presbyterian church, McDonald. The ceremony was performed by an uncle of the bridegroom, Dr. Edmond E. ROBB, pastor of Central Presbyterian church of McKeesport, assisted by Dr. O. E. GARDNER, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of McDonald. Miss Peggy Lou DOUGLASS was the maid of honor and Dr. Kent HORNBROOK of New Martinsville, W.Va., was bestman. The ushers were Mr. James HUGHEY of Burgettstown and Mr. Ralph BRABSON. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. James DAVIDSON, wore a navy redingote with navy accessories and carried orchids and lilies of the valley. Miss DOUGLAS [sic], the maid of honor, wore a yellow and black ensemble and wore a corsage of gardenias. The immediate families of the bride and groom were entertained at dinner in the Woman?s clubhouse following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. DOUGLASS will be at home after May first in their new home in Valley street.

Miss Margaret Enid Williamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Williamson of Midway, and Thompson Martin Douglass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Douglass of Fifth street, McDonald, were united in marriage Wednesday, September 20, 1939 in Williamsburg, Va.

Mrs. Douglass was a 1936 graduate of Midway high school. Mr. Douglass was a 1936 graduate of McDonald high school and attended W. & J. college. He is a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity.

DOUMONT - RAAB

The marriage of Miss Thelma Elnora RAAB, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. RAAB of near Hickory, and Joseph DOUMONT, son of Mrs. Rachel DOUMONT of Midway, took place at 6 o'clock Thursday evening, December 24, 1936. The ceremony was performed in the Center United Presbyterian church of Midway, the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD officiating. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ida Mae RAAB, and Thomas L. KELLY, cousin of the bridegroom, served as best man. The bride wore a gown of blue crepe and her corsage was of snapdragons, pom-poms, and cyclamen. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents.  The bride was graduated from the Hickory vocational school and the bridegroom was graduated from Midway high school. Mr. and Mrs. DOUMONT will reside in Midway.
