Mrs. Ida Lewis SWARTZ, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben LEWIS of South McDonald Street and Dr. Charles R. DIXON, were quietly married in Pittsburgh, at high noon, Friday, July 6, 1918. The happy couple will make their home with the bride's parents for the present. Dr. DIXON enlisted and received his commission as First Lieuienant
[sic] and expects to receive his appointment in a short time. Mrs. DIXON will make her home at the Camp after Dr. DIXON receives his appointment.

DIXON - SYLANSKI
Miss Loretta SYLANSKI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter SYLANSKI of Sturgeon, and Joseph DIXON, son of Mr. and Mrs. John DIXON of Center avenue, McDonald, were united in marriage at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 1947, in St. Partick's [sic] church, Noblestown. The pastor, the Rev. Fr. Martin P. FLAHERTY, performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a white gown with sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and a long train. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of orange blossoms. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. The matron of honor, Mrs. Elizabeth ONDOVIK, of Glendale, sister of the bride, wore a poudre blue gown with matching headdress. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Helen FRANKLIN of Champion Hill, wore a yellow gown with matching headdress. She carried a bouquet of talisman roses. Albert SYLANSKI of Sturgeon, brother of the bride, served as bestman and Edward SYLANSKI of Sturgeon
was the usher.
The brides' [sic] mother wore a black print dress with black accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a black dress with matching accessories. Each wore a shoulder corsage of red rosebuds.
A wedding dinner was served in the evening at Van's Tavern for 35 guests and members of the immediate families. Upon their return from a wedding trip to New York and Niagara Falls, the young couple will reside in Midway.
The bride is a graduate of North Fayette high school and is employed by the G.C. Murphy Co., Pittsburgh. The bridegroom attended McDonald high school and is employed by the Jones & Laughlin Corp., Pittsburgh.
