Mr. and Mrs. B. H. RUSSELL of Canonsburg announce the marriage of their daughter Velma to Alfred E. DESCUTNER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry DESCUTNER of McDonald.

The marriage took place on Christmas eve, December 24, 1942, in the manse of the Robinson's Run United Presbyterian church, McDonald, with the Rev. Grant M. MCKNIGHT, pastor, officiating. 

The bride wore a Alice Blue gown with fuchsia accessories. For the present the couple will reside with the bride's parents. Mr. DESCUTNER is an employee of the Pittsburgh Coal Co.

Harry DESCUTNER of McDonald [Pa] and Miss Clementine CUJAS of Cherry Valley were united in marriage on Monday, February 19, at the French parsonage, the Rev. Alexandre MAGE officiating. The couple were attended by the groom's mother, Mrs. Katherine DESCUTNER, and the bride's father, Manuel CUJAS.  Others who witnessed the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. John B. MASQUELIER and Mrs. MAGE.  Mr. and Mrs. DESCUTNER and reside with the bride's parents on the latter's farm in Cherry Valley.

Miss Ruth Evelyn HARDIE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William HARDIE of Washington, and John C. DESCUTNER, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Z. 
DESCUTNER of East Lincoln avenue, McDonald, were united in marriage at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 1941, in the Jefferson Avenue 
Methodist church, Washington, by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. LINN.

The bride wore navy blue with white accessories and a corsage of white snapdragons and blue narciasus. The bridesmaid, Miss Romayne BOOTH of Washington, wore navy blue with white accessories and a corsage of pink snapdragons. Mr. Joseph DESCUTNER of McDonald, brother of the bridegroom, served as bestman and the ushers were Mr. William HARDIE, of Washington, brother of the bride, and Mr. Nesbit DESCUTNER of Oakdale, brother of the bridegroom. Miss Zelma RESEL of Washington played the wedding music. 

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the HARDIE home. There were thirty-five guests with ten seated at the bride's table. 

The young couple will reside in McDonald.  Mr. DESCUTNER is employed by the Pittsburgh Coal Carbonization Co. 

Out-of-town guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Alex MOTTE of Midway, Mrs. Nesbit DESCUTNER of Oakdale, Mr. and Mrs. Emil RANK and daughter LaVerne and Martin PEOPERTHY of Sturgeon, Lester DOEHRE of R. D. 4, McDonald, Thomas, Lloyd, and Wayne 
ULTELMAN of Gladden heights, and Mr. and Mrs. John Z. DESCUTNER, Mrs. Joseph DESCUTNER, Paul DESCUTNER, Curtis McELHANY, Miss Arlene and Miss Evelyn DESCUTNER, and Mr. and Mrs. Emile PIERNARD, all of McDonald.

On Tuesday evening at six o'clock occurred the wedding of Miss Bertha E. NIMAL and Mr. Peter E.  DESCUTNER, both of this place. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John B. NIMAL, the Rev. Alexander MAGE officiating. The ceremony was followed by a reception, the guest list including fifty adults and forty children. Mr. and Mrs. DESCUTNER will go to housekeeping in the Jeff HOFFMAN house on Center avenue which Mr. DESCUTNER purchased about three months ago.
