Miss Martha MATHIAS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank MATHIAS of Library, and Mr. Gene DENNY, son of Dr. and Mrs. C. B. DENNY of Oakdale, were united in mariage [sic] Thursday, December 1, 1938, in the Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian parsonage, the pastor, the Rev. William Scott MCMUNN, officiating. Miss Anna Mae FUNBIS of Wilkinsburg and Mr. Jack DENNY of Oakdale, brother of the bridegroom, were the attendants. The young couple will reside in Dormont.  Mr. DENNY is employed in the office of the Pittsburgh Coal Co., Pittsburgh.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. THOMA of McNeilly avenue, Dormont, announce the marriage of their daughter Dorothy Ellen to Ensign Jack Pershing 
DENNY, U. S. N. R. Dr. C. S. CONLEY officiated at the ceremony, which took place Saturday, June 26, 1943, at 5:30 p.m., in the Dormont
Presbyterian church. 

Miss THOMA wore a gown of white marquisette with finger tip veil of tulle. She carried an orchid on a white Bible and for something old chose a forty-year old handkerchief edged in lace. In place of the traditional sixpence, she had a gold piece tucked in her shoe that was used by her mother at her wedding ceremony. Miss Virginia JOHNSON of Sheraden, her only attendant, wore a gown of yellow organdy and carried a bouquet of roses. 

Ensign DENNY, a son of Dr. and Mrs. C. B. DENNY of Oakdale, chose Frank MacKNIGHT as his bestman and Gene DENNY, his brother, and Edward CRONE as ushers. 

A reception followed the ceremony at the Dormont New Century club.

Miss THOMA attended Grove City college. Ensign DENNY is a graduate of Randolph Macon academy and the University of Pittsburgh. After a brief trip, the couple will reside in Ithaca, N.Y.

William Calvin DENNY, son of Dr. and Mrs. 
C. B. DENNY of Oakdale, and Miss Edyna HENDLER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. HENDER of Westview, were united in marriage Monday afternoon, February 10th, at 4 o'clock. The ceremony was performed at the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. Mr. EVANS of Wellsburg, W. Va. Miss Susanne GUE and Mr. Gene LEHR, both of Pittsburgh, were the only attendants. Mrs. DENNY is a graduate of Slippery Rock Normal, and Mr. DENNY of Ohio Wesleyan University. After March 1st Mr. and Mrs. DENNY will be at home to their friends in Jamestown, New York.

DePIETRO - SINCILIN

A pretty wedding took place at nine o'clock Monday morning, October 3, 1938, in St. Patrick's church, Noblestown, when Miss Frances SINCILIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph SINCILIN of Sturgeon, became the bride of Mr. Ernest DePIETRO, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter DePIETRO of Pittsburgh. The Rev. Fr. C. M. KEANE performed the ring ceremony. The bride wore a white satin gown with long tulle veil and train caught at the crown with beads. She carried white lilies. Miss Rose SINCILIN, sister of the bride and bridesmaid, wore a princess gown of old rose satin. She carried yellow daisies. Miss Viola DePIETRO of Pittsburgh, sister of the bridegroom and also a bridesmaid, wore a gown of sky blue satin and carried yellow daisies. Mr. William and Mr. Harry DePIETRO of Pittsburgh, brothers of the bridgroom [sic], were his attendants. Following the ceremony, breakfast was served in the bride's home. At noon, dinner was served with 25 seated at the bride's table. A large white wedding cake was the centerpiece. At six o'clock the wedding party left for Pittsburgh where they spent some time with the bridegroom's parents. At a later hour, they left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and other interesting points. They will reside in Pittsburgh where Mr. DePIETRO is employed.
