Miss Eva Louise STRIMEL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. STRIMEL, Jr., of Cecil, and Mr. Aime DELESTINE, son of Mrs. J. V. DELESTINE of 
Charleroi, were united in marriage at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 1937, in the Venice U. P. church, the Rev. Earl DANIELS officiating.
The bride wore wine-colored velvet and carried red roses. Miss Marie VEYDT and Miss Lauretta COX of Cecil, the bridesmaids, wore royal
blue velvet and carried pink roses. Mr. Daniel GOSSETT of Cecil was the best man and Mr. Archie STRIMEl of Cecil was the usher. Mrs. 
J. G. MOORE of Cecil played the wedding music. Miss Elaine VEYDT and Miss Flora Mae GOSSETT sang. Following the ceremony a 
reception was held in the home of the bride. There were 125 guests and 12 were seated at the bride's table. The bride is a graduate of the Cecil high school and Mr. DELESTINE is a graduate of the Charleroi high school. They will reside in Charleroi.

A quiet wedding took place in the parsonage of the Robinson's Run church at 7:30 p.m. Monday, September 19, 1938, when Mr. Morse M. DELEUZE and Miss Emilia DENROVER, both of Sturgeon, were united in marriage by Dr. Ross T. CAMPBELL. The ring ceremony was used. The bride wore a blue velvet gown with hat to match. The wedding party consisted of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. RANK of Sturgeon, Vera LEGROS of McDonald, and Bernard FIERST of Uniontown. After the ceremony, dinner was served in the E. A. RANK home, which was beautifully decorated with autumn flowers. Eighteen were seated at the bride's table. Blue and white predominated and a bride's cake formed the centerpiece. The guest list included Mr. and Mrs. Roy BALMER, Mr. and Mrs. Charles SPARKENBAUGH, Mr. and Mrs. Gaston E. RANK, Miss Madeline and Miss Carmen SCHEERS, Hector ROMAIN, Ted BOOCKS, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter SPARKENBAUGH of Sturgeon, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel GALLOWAY and Miss Vera LEGROS of McDonald, and Bernard FIERST of Uniontown.

Miss Alice Jane HOSPODAR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael HOSPODAR of Valley street, McDonald, and Pvt. Joseph E. DelGANDIO, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Carmini DelGANDIO of New York, were united in marriage at four o'clock Sunday afternoon, December 5, 1943, in St. Alphonsus'
church, McDonald, by the Rev. Fr. J. A. BURGOON. 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white taffeta gown with finger-tip veil. She wore a crown of sequins and carried a bouquet of 
white rosebuds with streamers. Her only attendant, Miss Mildred DelGANDIO, cousin of the bridegroom, wore a blue satin gown and a flower
head dress. She carried a bouquet of pink tea roses with steamers. Pvt. Anthony F. DelGANDIO, brother of the bridegroom, who returned
recently from Hawaii to New York, served as bestman. 

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the home of the bride's parents. There were 24 guests with 12 seated at the bride's table.
Mrs. HOSPODAR was assisted in serving by Mrs. Vincent JANESHEK, Jr., and daughter Miss Dorothy of Midway and Mrs. Emil LEYTRICK of Cecil. The bridegroom's parents, his brother, and his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Michael PEPE, and their daughter Rose Marie arrived in McDonald from New York on Friday evening. 

The young couple are spending their honeymoon in New York. 

Private DelGANDIO has been in the army three and a half years. He was in three battles, was wounded, and received a purple heart. He 
was home on a sick leave and returns to the hospital in California.

B. M. DELICH of Gary, Ind., were united in marriage at 3:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 17, 1939, in St. Ann's Episcopal church in New
Martinsville. After the ceremony a reception was held in the KOONTZ home. Mrs. DELICH is a graduate of Magnolia high school and Mount 
de Chantal of Wheeling, W. Va. She has a number of friends in McDonald. Mr. DELICH is a 1938 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He
was a member of Kappa Sigma and played on the Pitt team. Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. CASE, daughter 
Pauline, and son Louis of McDonald. Mrs. George DELICH is a cousin of Mrs. Louis C. CASE of Third street.

DELIERE - CHECCA

Miss Quesilda CHECCA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phiomeno CHECCA of Cecil, and Louis DELIERE of Cecil were united in marriage at 8:30 o'clock Thursday morning, September 17, 1936, in St. Mary's church, Cecil, with nuptial high mass by the Rev. Fr. KOPERA. The bride was attired in a chiffon velvet gown with a train and wore a long veil. Her bouquet was white roses with a shower of lilies of the valley. Miss Mary Jane MAIGRE of Cecil, one of the bridesmaids, was attired in a white satin gown and colored shoes, hat, and gloves. The other bridesmaid, Miss Mary CORRENTE of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Cecil, was gowned in yellow and pink. Both girls carried bouquets. Mr. Anthony DELIERE of Cecil attended the bridegroom. Miss Mary QUINN of Cecil played the wedding music. After the ceremony a reception was held for twenty-five guests, with fifteen seated at the bride's table. Both bride and bridegroom are graduates of Cecil high school. They will reside in Cecil. Mr. DELIERE is employed in the Muse mine.
