NELSON, to Fred DARNLEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert DARNLEY of Primrose. The ceremony was performed Saturday afternoon, January 16, 1937, by Justice of the Peace A. B.
COCHRAN. A reception was held that evening in the CARDILLA home. The newlyweds will reside in Oakdale.

Miss Bertha SLACKER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles SLACKER of Oakdale, and William
DARNLEY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert
DARNLEY of McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:30 o?clock Wednesday evening, July 22, 1942, in the Lutheran church, Carnegie, by the Rev. Mr. BURRY.
The bride wore white with a shoulder length veil and a beaded crown. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The maid of honor, Miss Ruth SLACKER of Oakdale, sister of the bride, wore a pink dress with white accessories and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Stella
LAND and Miss Jeannette WASSON, both of Oakdale, wore blue dresses with white accessories and carried bouquets of yellow roses. Miss
METZ of Glendale played the wedding music.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Palace Gardens, McDonald. There were seventy-five guests with thirty seated at the bride?s table.
Mrs. DARNLEY attended the North Fayette township school and graduated from the Oakdale high school. Mr.
DARNLEY attended McDonald high and is employed at the Porcelain Metal Mill,
Rosslyn. The young couple will reside with the bridegroom?s parents.

Mr. James E. DAVENPORT and Miss Mary A. FORINGER were quietly married at the home of the bride in Fourth street on Wednesday evening, October 23, at six o'clock. The Rev. D. L.
HEADLEE, former pastor of the M. E. Church of this place, officiated. Mr. and Mrs. DAVENPORT left on an evening train for an Eastern trip, after which they will return to McDonald, where they will reside.
