Miss Ida A. WILSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allie E. WILSON of Middletown, N. Y., and John R. COTTER, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. COTTER of New Brunswick, N. J., were united in marriage at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 30, 1938, in the Rectory of St. Joseph's Catholic church, Middletown, the Rev. Father POTTER officiating. The bride was attired in a pink net and lace jacket dress, with a short veil of pink tulle and carried white roses. She also wore a gold cross. The bridesmaid, Miss Hilda RATSHAW, of Middletown, wore a princess dress of blue lace and carried white roses. Mr. Arthur COTTER, brother of the groom, was the bestman. A wedding supper at the Elks Home in Middletown followed the ceremony. Table decorations were ribbon and ivy streamers, candles and large baskets of gladiolus and dahlias, and a large three-tier wedding cake. Upon their return from a wedding trip through the New England States, the young couple will reside at 217 George street, New Brunswick, N.J. Mrs. G. A. FARABAUGH of Marion avenue, Oakdale, attended the wedding. Mr. COTTER is a brother of Mrs. FARABAUGH and is well known in Carnegie and Oakdale.

This afternoon at four o'clock is the time set for the wedding of Miss Mamie A. LOUER of Midway and Mr. Stanley COTTLE of McDonald. The Rev. Mr. E. L. RALSTON, minister of the United Presbyterian church of Midway will perform the ceremony. Immediately following the wedding Mr. and Mrs. COTTLE will leave for an eastern trip to Philadelphia. Upon their return they will live in Washington, Pa.

COUCH - WILLHOYTE

Miss Edna Jean WILLHOYTE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. WILLHOYTE of Atlasburg, and James Albert COUCH, son of Mrs. Joseph FULLER of R. D. 3, Burgettstown, were united in marriage at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 1947, in the Cross Creek Presbyterian church. The pastor, the Rev. Robert B. SHANE, performed the double ring ceremony before an embankment of ferns and palms. Appropriate wedding music was played by Jane MCCREARY of Cross Creek.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gray wool crepe street length suit with black accessories and a corsage of red roses. Her only jewelry was a wrist watch from Germany, a gift of the bridegroom. The matron of honor, Mrs. Ray MALONE of Burgettstown, sister of the bride, wore a black suit with black accessories and a corsage of talisman roses. Frank BLANK of Burgettstown, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, served as bestman.

The bride's mother wore a black street length dress with matching accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue suit with black accessories and they each wore a corsage of pink roses.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to 43 guests in the home of the bride's parents. Aides were Mrs. Joseph LYLE of R. D. 4, Burgettstown, Mrs. Charles NICE and Mrs. Charles NEAL of Midway, and Mrs. Robert ROMMES of R. D. 3, Burgettstown.

The bride is a 1947 graduate of Union high school, Burgettstown, and prior to her marriage was employed at Gimbel Bros. The bridegroom attended Union high school. He served in the U. S. army as technician fifth class for 18 months, 13 of which were spent in Germany. He is employed by the Pennsylvania railroad.

The young couple are making their home for the present with the bride's parents.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Couch of Baltimore, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. Mike HALVIN of Vanport.
