On Saturday evening, June 23, 1923 at 8 o'clock occurred the wedding of Miss Grace Emma STILLEY, daughter of Mrs. Jennie STILLEY of Fourth street, McDonald, to Mr. James Sinclair CONNELLY, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. CONNELLY of Steubenville, Ohio. The guardian of Miss STILLEY, the Rev. W.D. IRONS, D.D. officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her mother, wore a gown of beige Canton crepe and a large picture hat and carried a corsage of roses and lilies of the Valley. Miss Jennie STILLEY was her sister's bridesmaid and wore a gown of gray Canton crepe. Mr. Samuel STILLEY of Rochester, Pa., a brother of the bride, served as Mr. CONNELLY's best man. Miss Helen BYERS played the wedding march and Miss Margretta BYERS sang "O Promise Me," and "I Love You Truly." Mr. and Mrs. CONNELLY left on an evening train for a trip to the east and on their return will make their home in Cleveland, Ohio.

CONNOR - CUMMINS

East Liberty Presbyterian church, Pittsburgh, was the scene of the marriage on September 5 of Ann Lucille CUMMINS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David McCalmont CUMMINS, Pittsburgh, to Edward Harrison CONNOR, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. CONNOR of Glenshaw.

The Rev. Harry W. PEDICORD of Highland Presbyterian church, assisted by the Rev. Thomas LUCE of East Liberty Presbyterian church, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride wore a gown of ivory satin fashioned with drop shoulder effect, fitted bodice, long sleeves pointed at the wrists, bouffant skirt with full court train. Her illusion veil was fingertip in length and she carried a white testament with white orchid marker.

Miss Jane KNICKERBOCKER, Pittsburgh, cousin of the bridegroom, as maid of honor, wore light blue velveteen and matching mitts. The bridesmaids, Miss Frances BAMFORD, Midway, and Miss Joan BAMFORD, Punxutawney, cousins of the bride, Mrs. John BOYER, Allison Park, sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Charles POWELL, Pittsburgh, all wore matching gowns and mitts of rose velveteen.

Mr. CONNOR had his brother, Richard CONNOR, as bestman and the ushers were Robert GOSS, Albert DERRINGER, and Lawrence POROPATICH, all of Pittsburgh, and Raymond McDONOUGH, Chicago, Ill.

Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was held at the William Penn hotel, Pittsburgh, and the couple left later on a trip to the Poconos. Upon their return they will reside at their home in Pittsburgh.

The bride is a graduate of the Washington Seminary and Pennsylvania College for Women.

The bridegroom attended Muskingum college, and since his discharge from the service in World War II, has attended the University of Pittsburgh, from which he was graduated September 10.

The marriage of Miss Ruth PAXON, daughter of James M. Paxon of Houston, and Lloyd D. CONNER son of Dr. and Mrs. R. E. CONNER of Hickory, was solemnized on Tuesday evening, June 3d, at seven-thirty o'clock in the country home of the bride's father. The bridal party entered the room to the strains of Lohengrin's Bridal Chorus," played by Miss Margaret CONNER, the bridegroom's sister. Miss Ethel McPEAK of Carnegie, a cousin of the bride, sang "At Dawning." Miss Mary JOHNSTON was bridesmaid. Ralph DAVIDSON served as bestman. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. F. HARKEY of Houston, under an arch of smilax and lilies of the valley. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in powder blue georgette and carried a shower bouquet of white bridal roses and lilies of the valley. As part of her attire she carried the lace handkerchief that her grandmother PAXON carried on her wedding day, more than fifty years ago. The bridesmaid wore peach chiffon and carried pink Killarney roses. Guests present were from Latrobe, Carnegie, Hickory, Houston and Canonsburg.

After the wedding dinner Mr. and Mrs. CONNER left on an Eastern motor trip. Upon their return they will reside in Uniontown.

A pretty home wedding took place on Wednesday evening, November 28, at 7:30 o'clock, when Miss Willa Hazel PICKFORD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John PICKFORD, 427 Franklin avenue, Wilkinsburg, became the bride of Willard Glenn CONNER, son of Rev. and Mrs. S. G. CONNER, of Venice. The ring ceremony was performed in the living room of the bride's home before an embankment of ferns, palms and yellow chrysanthemums in tall standards, the officiating minister being, Rev. Mr. CONNER, father of the groom. The Lohengrin wedding march was played by Miss Carinne CRAWFORD, of Wilkinsburg. 

The bride wore a handsome gown of white satin, her tulle veil being secured with a band of valley lilies, and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Jane PICKFORD, who appeared in pink satin, carrying yellow chrysanthemums. Norman GEORGE, of East Liverpool, Ohio, was Mr. CONNER's best man. 

Mr. and Mrs. CONNER are now on an Eastern wedding trip, and after January 1, will be at home to their friends in Avalon. Mr. CONNER is a member of the faculty of the Latimer High school, Northside, Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Frances CHAMBON ROBB, daughter of F.S. CHAMBON of Fourth street, McDonald and the late Caroline BELL CHAMBON, and Russell CONNOLLY, son of Mrs. John CONNOLLY of Pittsburgh and the late John CONNOLLY, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. February 12, 1947 in the parish house of the St. Alphonsus' church. The Rev. Fr. Joseph A. BURGOON performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a dark blue wool dress with matching accessories and she carried a bouquet of red roses, white gardenias, and white hyacinths. The wedding traditions were also carried out. The matron-of-honor, Mrs. William HOGG, wore a light blue crepe dress with black accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Harold CONNOLLY of Greensburg, was his brother's bestman.

The bridegroom's mother wore a light blue crepe dress with black accessories and a corsage of gardenias.

Following the ceremony a reception for 45 guests was held in the home of the bride's father. A wedding supper was served by four aides, Miss Dona WALTERS, Miss 
Dorothy Jean WEIR, and Miss Marjorie and Miss Kathleen CONNOLLY. The house was decorated with red and pink roses and gardenias. A three-tiered wedding cake was cut by the bridal couple. The miniature bride and groom which topped the cake was one that had been used on the wedding cake of Mr. and Mrs. Leo WRIGHT, when they were married 19 years ago.
After a two-week wedding trip to New York City, the newlyweds will make their home in Fourth street.

The bride is a graduate of the McDonald high school and attended Southern Seminary. The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and is engaged in the practice of law in Pittsburgh.

Out-of-town guests at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Harold CONNOLLY and daughters of Greensburg, Mr. and Mrs. Wray CONNOLLY, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur CONNOLLY and Mrs. and Mrs. Charles DONOVAN, all of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Joseph ROBB and Mrs. John METZNER of Oakdale, and Mrs. Joseph McDONALD of Wichita Falls, Texas.
