Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. WRIGHT of R. D. 2, Coraopolis, announce the marriage of their daughter Miss Maye [WRIGHT] to Francis W. CLEM on Wednesday, April 2, 1941, in Clarksville, Tenn. Mrs. CLEM is an air stewardess between Chicago and New York City. Mr. CLEM is a first officer pilot on the same air line. They will reside in Berwyn, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.

* Grammatically, the marked sentence is very hard to read. If re-written for clarity, it might say: As part of the program later in the evening, Mr. and Mrs. CLEMENS were treated to an old-fashioned serenade during a wedding wagon ride through Canonsburg.

CLEMENS - WILSON

On Thursday evening, June 22, 1922, at five o'clock, Miss Flora WILSON and Roy CLEMENS, both of Hickory, were united in marriage by the Rev. F. S. EBERLE, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, at his residence, 38 West College street, Canonsburg. A reception and dinner were given the young couple at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. NEIBAR, near the Canonsburg Steel and Iron works. Later in the evening an old-fashioned serenade was tendered [to] Mr. and Mrs. CLEMENS when a wagon ride through Canonsburg with lots of noise was part of the program.* The wagon bore the inscription, "Just Married." The couple will probably reside at Hickory.

Marriage Notice for Thomas CLINTON, Jr. to Ruth Callender, 25 Aug 1926 From the McDonald, PA Outlook newspaper of Aug. 27, 1926, page unknown:

At high noon on Wednesday, August 25, 1926, the marriage of Miss Ruth CALLENDER of Pittsburgh and Thomas CLINTON, Jr. of Sturgeon was performed by the Rev. J. H. DEBOLT of Washington. The ceremony took place at the parsonage. The bride wore a baby blue satin crepe gown, trimmed with ecru lace, with tan hat and tan kid oxfords to match. The bridesmaid, Miss Mildred CALLENDER, wore a pink georgette gown, black hat, with black slippers to match. Dr. George E. BARNER of Meadville was best man. After the ceremony the bridal party came to the home of the bridegroom's parents in Sturgeon. Covers for twenty-five were laid at the bride's table. The decorations were pink and white. The young couple will reside in New Castle.

Marriage Notice for Charles W. CLOUSTON to Dorothy Brownlee, 4 Jul 1943

CLOUSTON - BROWNLEE

Miss Dorothy BROWNLEE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin BROWNLEE of Washington, and Sgt. Charles W. CLOUSTON of Station street, McDonald, were united in marriage at 4:57 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 1943, in the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. Frank T. JAMES, pastor of the McDonald Methodist church.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a light blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of red roses and white babies' breath.

Following the ceremony, the wedding dinner was served in the CLOUSTON home to eleven guests. The newlyweds then left for Pittsburgh, where they remained until Tuesday evening.

Mrs. CLOUSTON is a 1942 graduate of Washington high school and attended the Washington Business college. She will remain with her parents for the duration of the war. Seargeant CLOUSTON is a 1937 graduate of McDonald high school.
