Miss Ferne Mae BROWN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ARTHUR BROWN of Midway, and BEECH B. CLARK, son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. CLARK of Leonardtown, Md., were united in marriage at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 1946, in the
Methodist church, Dublin Md. The pastor, the Rev
J. M. GRIFFITH performed the single ring ceremony. 

The bride was attired in a shell pink dress with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias. The matron of honor, Mrs. CLIFFORD DOWLER of Staten Island, N.Y., sister of the bride, wore a pastel green dress with white accessories and a corsage of Talisman rosebuds. JOHN KALNASY of Leonardtown served as bestman. The bride's mother wore a pastel green dress with white accessories and the bridegroom's mother
wore a black dress with white accessories. Following a wedding dinner in the Kingsville Inn, Kingsville, Md., Mr. and Mrs. CLARK left for a wedding trip through the Shenandoah Valley.

The bride is a graduate of Midway high school and 
Duff's Business School of Pittsburgh. She was recently honorably discharged after serving two years with the Women's Marine corps. She has since been employed with the Marine Civil Service in Washington, D. C. The bridegroom was recently discharged after five years service with the Army Air force and is at present employed at Leonardtown, where they plan to make their home.

CLARK - BROWN

The marriage of Miss Helen Jane BROWN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur BROWN of Midway, and Charles H. CLARK, son of Mrs. Mary A. CLARK of Baltimore, took place at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, August 31, 1940, in the Center United Presbyterian church, Midway. The ceremony was performed before an embankment of ferns, with the pastor, the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD, officiating. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an afternoon dress of green crepe with hat of rust, and her corsage was of yellow rosebuds and larkspur. Miss Ferne Mae BROWN as her sister's maid of honor, wore an afternoon dress of rust crepe with matching hat. Her corsage was also of yellow rosebuds and larkspur. The wedding music was played by Mrs. John E. KRAEER, Jr. Carl MACK of Grove City served as bestman and the ushers were Elmer BROWN, brother of the bride, and Paul BROWN of Pittsburgh, cousin of the bride.

A reception and dinner in the home of the bride's parents followed the ceremony. Covers were laid for sixteen at the bride's table. White candles were used at either end of the table and the center-piece was of pink and white asters. 

The bride is a graduate of Slippery Rock Teachers college and attended the University of Pittsburgh. She has been a teacher in the Smith township schools for several years.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Maryland and is a member of Alpha Gamma Rho. He is also a member of Alpha Zeta and Phi Kappa Phi, honorary fraternities.

Mr. and Mrs. CLARK left for a trip through the West. They will reside in Santa Rosa, Calif., where Mr. CLARK is associated with General Mills, Inc.

Miss Rachel Virginia LEECH of Clarion and Floyd L. CLARK of East Lincoln avenue, McDonald, were quietly married on Saturday evening, October 23, 1926, at 7:30 o'clock by the Rev. Norris A. WHITE, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of Franklin. The bride, who was unattended, wore a gown of channel red satin. Miss LEECH is a graduate of Clarion high school and attended Clarion normal school. Mr. CLARK is a graduate of McDonald high school and is employed as an inspector by the West Penn Power Co.
