CHRISTIAN - WHITE

Miss Margaret WHITE of Wellington, Ohio, and Mr. John J. CHRISTIAN, son of Mrs. Anna CHRISTIAN of Noblestown, were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 1939, in the home of the bridegroom's mother. Justice of the Peace, John WADE of Noblestown, performed the ceremony. Mrs. James GORMAN was matron of honor and Mr. GORMAN served as best-man. Mr. and Mrs. David BIRD of Woodville also witnessed the ceremony. The bride's flowers were mums and snapdragons.

A wedding dinner was served by Mrs. Anna CHRISTIAN, assisted by her sister, Mrs. James GORMAN, and by Mrs. Edward SHOUPE. Later a reception was held at Nutbrown's on the Stubenville pike.

Miss ODESSA MAE ROMMES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. CHARLES H. ROMMES of R. D. 1, Bulger, and FRANK H. CHRISTOPH, Jr., of Norwood, R.I. were united in marriage at 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 5, in the home of the bride. The Rev. JOSEPH T. BROWNLEE of Cambridge, Ohio, performed the double ring ceremony before a background of ferns, 
palms, and gladioli. White streamers led from the stairway to the livingroom.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a teal blue satin gown and a headdress of shaded blue ostrich plume with light blue veiling. She carried an arm bouquet
of white rosebuds and babies'-breath tied with satin streamers. For something old she wore a diamond brooch which her mother and sister JEAN wore on their wedding days.

The maid of honor, Miss RUTH ROMMES, sister of the bride, wore brown satin with darker brown accessories. She carried a bouquet of Talisman rosebuds. HENRY F. CHRISTOPH was his brother's bestman.

The bride's mother wore a blue dress with a corsage of pink rosebuds and the bridegroom's mother wore a rose gown with a corsage of Talisman rosebuds.

Miss MARY KERR played the traditional wedding music and Miss AMY KERR sang "Oh Promise Me."

Following the ceremony a reception for forty guests was held in the home. After cutting a three-tiered wedding cake, refreshments were served.

The bride is a graduate of Union high school, Burgettstown, and Penn State Commercial college, Washington. She was in the WAVES for a year and a half, serving at Quonset, R.I.
She is employed by Wasson & Co., Pittsburgh.

The bridegroom served in the army and is now a senior at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.

Upon their return from a week's trip to Atlantic City they will make their home in Cambridge, Mass.

Miss Dorothy Brittain, daughter of Mrs. MARGARET BRITTAIN and EDWARD CHURCH of Chicago 
were united in marriage at nine o'clock Saturday morning, November 30, 1946, in St. Columbkille church, Imperial. The bride wore a white street- length dress and a large white hat. PAUL CEYROLLES, cousin of the bride was bestman. A wedding breakfast was given in the home of the bride. The young couple left for Chicago, where they will make their home.

Bridesmaids at Wedding


Miss NORMA MASQUELIER and Miss NOVA MASQUELIER of North McDonald street were
bridesmaids at the wedding of Miss EMMA ELIZABETH PENTEK of Munhall and Mr. ANDREW CHUSKA of Homestead, which took place in the Hungarian Reformed church, Pittsburgh, on Saturday evening, August 16, 1924. Miss MAMIE C. MASQUELIER played the wedding march. Others who attended the wedding from McDonald were: Mrs. J. B. MASQUELIER and sons ARTHUR and ELMER and Miss ADENA DESCUTNER.
