CHATTERLY - MUTTON

A very pretty wedding occurred on Saturday evening, February 29, 1908, at the home of the bride?s parents on Barr street, when their daughter, Miss Clara MUTTON, and Mr. Simpson CHATTERLY were united in marriage by the Rev. Dr. IRONS of the First United Presbyterian Church. The attendants were James MUTTON, brother of the bride, as best man and Mrs. John PROSSER as matron of honor. After the ceremony a bountiful supper was served to the guests -- relatives and intimate friends of the contracting parties. Mr. and Mrs. CHATTERLY will for the present make their home with the bride?s parents.

CHATTERLY - MANCUSO

Miss Katherine MANCUSO, daughter of Ernest MANCUSO of Pittsburgh, and Simpson CHATTERLY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simpson CHATTERLY of Imperial, were united in marriage at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 1947, in the home of the bridegroom?s parents. Rev. S. G. NEAL, pastor of the Hebron church, performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by the bridegroom?s brother, James CHATTERLY, wore a white suit with white accessories and an orchid corsage. The matron of honor, Mrs. Grace PERSHIN of Imperial, sister of the bridegroom, wore a blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Louis PERSHIN served as bestman. The bridegroom?s mother wore a black and white dress and a corsage of red rosebuds.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner for fifty guests was served in the home. A three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom centered the bridal table where covers were laid for ten guests.

The newlyweds will reside with the bridegroom?s parents.

Mr. CHATTERLY is employed at the American Bridge Co., Ambridge.

Guests were present from Burgettstown, Coraopolis, McDonald and Sturgeon.

Sisters Married in Double Ceremony

[ ZAVERL - PETRILLO ] Anthony J. ZAVERL - Miss Rebecca PETRILLO

Miss Domenica [PETRILLO] and Miss Rebecca PETRILLO, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. PETRILLO of Cuddy were married at a double wedding at 9:00 a. m. Saturday, June 28, 1947, in St. Agatha's church, Bridgeville, the former becoming the wife of Eugene A. CHAUSSARD, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene A. CHAUSSARD of Cecil, and the latter [the bride] of Anthony J. ZAVERL, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. ZAVERL of Bridgeville. The Rev. Fr. William A. TEITH performed the double ring ceremonies.

The brides, given in marriage by their father, wore identical gowns of white satin with V neckline, gathered bodice, and full train. Their fingertip veils were trimmed with imported Italian lace and from a coronet of orange 
blossoms. They carried arm bouquets of white roses centered with orchids and tied with white satin streamers. Miss Domenica PETRILLO had as her maid of honor, Miss Edith CIRAN of Alliance, Ohio who wore a yellow marquisette gown with matching picture hat and gloves. Miss Rebecca PETRILLO's matron of honor Mrs. Paul ORIENT of Bridgeville, who wore a blue marquisette gown with matching picture hat and gloves. Each carried a bouquet of blue and yellow delphinium tied with satin streamers. Eugene PASSIEU served as bestman for his cousin, Eugene CHAUSSARD and William ZAVERL of Bridgeville served as bestman for his brother Anthony. Ushers were Frank PETRILLO and Daniel CHECCA of Cecil. The brides' mother wore a pink street-length dress with black accessories and a corsage of red roses and blue delphiniums. Mrs. CHAUSSARD wore a white suit with matching accessories Mrs. ZAVER wore a gayly printed dress with black accessories and each mother wore a corsage of pink roses and blue delphiniums. 

A dinner for the bridal party and members of the immediate families was held in the evening in the White Front restaurant in Cuddy. Twenty-four were seated at the bride's table, which was decorated with red roses and candles. Later a reception was held in the S.N.P.J. hall, Sygan. They left for a wedding
trip to Buffalo, N. Y., and Niagra Falls. Mr. and Mrs. CHAUSSARD, Jr., will reside in Cuddy and Mr. and Mrs. ZAVERL will be at home in Bridgeville.

Both brides are graduates of the South Fayette high school. Mrs. ZAVERL is a manager of Bard's Dairy store in Bridgeville and Mrs. CHAUSSARD was employed at the General Electric Co., Bridgeville. Mr. CHAUSSARD, a graduate of the Cecil high school, served three years with the 148th Combat Engineers Brt[sic]. and wears the Purple Heart. He is employed at the P. H. Wise
mine at Gilmore. Mr. ZAVERL served four years with the 45th Infantry Division.  He is a graduate of the Bridgeville high school and is employed at the Bridgeville post office.

Out of town guests were present from Alliance, Ohio, Weirton, W. Va., Glassport Monesson, Carnegie, Pittsburgh and Herminie.

Miss Helen LAND, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles LAND of Oakdale, and Frank CHAUVET, son of Alfred CHAUVET of Champion Hill, were united in Marriage at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 1946, in St. Patrick?s church, Noblestown. The Rev. Fr. FLAHERTY performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in a green suit with brown accessories and a corsage of yellow rosebuds. Miss Madelon LAND, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a brown suit with matching accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. John KULAKI of McDonald served as bestman. A wedding breakfast was served in the home of the bride?s parents and a wedding dinner was served at Club ?22.
A reception for relatives and friends was held in the evening in the Eagles hall, Sturgeon.
The young couple are making their home with the bride?s parents.
