CHAPPO - CAMPBELL

Miss Elizabeth CAMPBELL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hays CAMPBELL of Midway [Pa], and Mr. Louis CHAPPO, son of Mr. and Mrs. John CHAPPO of Canonsburg [Pa], were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. E.S.T. Monday, June 24, 1940, in the Center United Presbyterian manse, Midway [Pa], the pastor, the Rev. Alfred HUBBARD, officiating.

The bride wore a blue and white ensemble with white accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. The bridesmaid, Miss Geraldine DAVIDSON of Midway [Pa], wore a brown and white ensemble with white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Mr. Charles CUNNINGHAM of McDonald [Pa] served as bestman.

Mrs. CHAPPO attended the Midway schools. Mr. CHAPPO is employed by the Standard Tin Plate Co., Canonsburg [Pa]. They will reside at West Pike street, Canonsburg [Pa].

CHARLIER - COLMAN

Miss Marilyn May COLMAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles COLMAN of St. Petersburg, Fla., became the bride of John C. CHARLIER, son of Mr. and Mrs. George CHARLIER of Gladden Heights, McDonald, in a double ring ceremony performed at eight o?clock September 16, 1946, in the Woodlawn Presbyterian church, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Dr. John F. VICHERT officiated before the alter which was banked with palms and an arrangement of a large fan-shaped basket of fern, tuberoses, mums, and white gladioli.

Mrs. Herbert A. RUSS, soloist, sang ?Because? and ?O Perfect Love.? Mrs. L. S. ROYCE, organist, played ?Claire de Lune,? ?O Promise Me,? and the traditional wedding marches.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a powder blue crepe street length dress fashioned with soft draped lines, elbow length gloves, and navy blue accessories. She carried a satin prayer book topped with an orchid surrounded by tuberoses and showered with satin streamers.

Miss Frances SIRMONS, maid of honor, wore a gray crepe dress styled with a peplum, black accessories, and a corsage of Herbert Hoover roses tied with gold ribbon.
I. E. COLMAN, brother of the bride was bestman and the ushers were Edwin RUSS and Jimmy HILL.

Mrs. COLMAN, mother of the bride, wore a frosty pink wool suit with white accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds tied with blue ribbon. Mrs. CHARLIER, mother of the bridegroom, was gowned in teal blue crepe with white accessories. Her corsage was of white gardenias tied with silver and white ribbon.

A reception in the social room of the church followed. The bride?s table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with a three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. Miss Jeanne TIPTON had charge of the bride?s book and Miss Norma MAY, cousin of the bride, assisted with the serving. The young couple spent a brief honeymoon at Gulf Beach, Fla., and visited three weeks in the George CHARLIER home, Gladden heights.

CHARLIER - BIERS

Miss Katheryn BIERS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence BIERS of Venice, and Merle CHARLIER, son of P. J. CHARLIER of McDonald, were united in marriage at 5:45 p.m. Friday, October 17, 1947, in the parsonage of the First Presbyterian church, McDonald. The pastor, the Rev. Joseph RODGERS, performed the ceremony. Witnessing the exchange of vows were the members of the immediate families. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Martin PENBERTHY of McDonald, sister and brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Following the ceremony a dinner for the immediate families was served at the Fort Pitt Inn. The young couple will reside in Oakdale.
