On Wednesday morning, May 6, 1925, at 10 o'clock Mr. August CARLY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fortney CARLY of Sturgeon, and Miss Frances KESSLER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander FASTRE of Duquesne, were united in marriage in the Holy Name Roman Catholic church at Duquesne, Pa. The Rev. Fr. WALSH officiated. The bride who was attired in white was attended by Miss Anna GUDASH of Duquesne as maid of honor and Miss Sherread BENNETT of Sturgeon and Miss Mary McGovern of Mt. Washington as brides maids. Mary Augusta PUSKAR of Sturgeon was flower girl and Grace LAROSE was ring bearer. Mr. Constantine KELLY of Sturgeon was Mr. CARLY's best man and Hector ROMAIN of Sturgeon was the usher. The church was beautifully decorated in flowers and palms. After the wedding ceremony breakfast was served in the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. CARLY will make their home in Sturgeon.

Miss Rose Marie BISHOP, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas BISHOP, 621 Ridge avenue, Carnegie, and Charles CAROTHERS, son of John CAROTHERS, R. D. 3, McDonald, were united in marriage in the manse of the First Presbyterian church, Burgettstown, at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 1947. The Rev. Jacob C. RUBLE officiated at the single ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Joseph BISHOP, wore a white nylon gown with round neck bordered with seed pearls and full skirt. She carried a muff of carnations and babies' breath and a blue lace handkerchief which was borrowed to carry out the tradition "Something borrowed and something blue."

Miss Dorothy BISHOP was her sister's bridesmaid and she wore a pink net gown and carried a colonial bouquet of pink carnations. A sister of the bridegroom waas matron of honor. She wore a blue net gown with matching veil and also carried a colonial bouquet of pink carnations. 

Walter NEIL of R. D. 3, McDonald, served as bestman for his brother-in-law, and Richard CAROTHERS, brother of the bridegroom, was an attendant.

The wedding march and "I Love You Truly" was played by Miss Celestine STIEVENART, church organist.

The bride's mother, Mrs. Thomas BISHOP, wore a blue crepe dress with a corsage of pink roses.

Those attending the wedding were: John CAROTHERS, R.D. 3, McDonald; Dorothy Ann SPAULDING of New Jersey, Mrs. Harry NEIL, Mrs. Lester NEIL, Walter NEIL, Jr., Robert NEIL, and Mrs. J. C. RUBLE.

A wedding dinner for the immediate families was served at noon in the home of John CAROTHERS followed by a reception at six o'clock in the evening in the Russian hall, Carnegie, for thirty-eight guests. The three-tiered wedding cake was topped with a miniature bridal couple. The hall was decorated in pink and blue. 

The bridegroom served three and a half years in the U. S. army. He is employed by the Desmet Lumber Co., Cecil.

Mr. and Mrs. CAROTHERS are residing in R. D. 3, McDonald.
