COOK - CAMPBELL

At high-noon on Wednesday, October 14th [1925] in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. COOK of south of McDonald, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Miss Asenath Haddasah COOK to Mr. Kenneth McConnell CAMPBELL of Pittsburgh. The ceremony, performed before an embankment of ferns and palms, was officiated by the Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D., assisted by the Rev. J. M. CAMERON or  [sic] Libson [sic], Ohio, uncle of the bride. The ring ceremony was used.

The bride was attired in beaded white crepe, her tulle veil being held with orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of Sweetheart roses. Miss Blanche SHOAFF of Volant, Pa. as bridesmaid, wore yellow crepe and carried an arm bouquet of yellow roses. Mrs. W. H. SHOAFF, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and wore yellow crepe romaine and carried an arm bouquet of yellow roses. Little Hilda Lila COOK, cousin of the bride, was flower girl and was dressed in shaded yellow crepe. Agnes DONALDSON and Katherine PYLE as ribbon bearers, wore white organdie dresses with yellow streamers. Mr. Charles HULL of Pittsburgh was Mr. CAMPBELL's best man. Lohengrin's wedding march was played by Mrs. R. M. DONALDSON.

A wedding dinner with covers for twelve at the bride's table supplemented the ceremony, the colors being carried out in yellow and white. Those present included the immediate families and a few close friends.

Following an eastern wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. CAMPBELL will be at home in Bridgeville, Pa.

Miss Stella C. PHILLIPS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. PHILLIPS of North street, McDonald, and Mr. Peter C. CAMPBELL of Columbus, Ohio, were united in marriage on Tuesday, December 21, 1926, in the courthouse at Columbus. The mayor of Harrisburg, Ohio, performed the ceremony. Mrs. CAMPBELL has been a secretary in the structural department of Jones & Laughlin, Pittsburgh, for the last three years. Mr. CAMPBELL, who until recently was manager of the A & P store in the Commercial building in East Lincoln avenue is now superintendent of the A. & P. stores at Columbus. The young couple are living in Columbus.

CAMPBELL - WONDERS

The marriage of Miss Margaretta WONDERS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. WONDERS of Johnstown, to R. Wayne CAMPBELL, son of Mr. and Mrs. George F. CAMPBELL of Pittsburgh, took place at a pretty ceremony at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, October 18, 1936, in the bride's home. The Rev. Dr. William K. ANDERSON, pastor of the Franklin Street Methodist church, officiated.

The house was attractively decorated with cut flowers and ferns for the occasion. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of royal blue velvet, matching accessories, and carried a bouquet of Johanna Hill rose buds. Her sister, Frances WONDERS, as bridesmaid, wore a gown of fuchsia velvet with matching accessories and carried rapture rose buds. Charles WONDERS, brother of the bride, was best man.

Two solos, "O Perfect Love" and "The Birthday" were sung by Mrs. William K. ANDERSON, accompanied by F. H. CAMPBELL, an uncle of the bridegroom. Mr. Campbell also played "The Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrin" and Mendelssohn's "Wedding March."

Following the ceremony, a buffet luncheon was served. Covers were laid for 60 people. The newlyweds afterwards departed on an extended honeymoon through the New England States. They plan to stop off at Philadelphia, New York City, Springfield, and other points of interest. After November 1 they will make their home at 209 Station street, McDonald.

The former Miss WONDERS is a graduate of Johnstown high school and of Indiana State Teachers' college. her husband is a graduate of South Hills high school, Pittsburgh. He attended Duff's Business college and is at present employed in the accounting department of the Gulf Oil Corporation in Pittsburgh.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. F. H. CAMPBELL and children, Miss Mary JAMISON, and Mrs. R. L. Stevenson, all of McDonald; Mr. and Mrs. Charles THOMPSON, Dr. and Mrs. Ernest RUDER and son Ernest, Jr., Jacob WONDERS, Miss Virginia GILES, H. L. TRUBY, and F. M. HICKS, all of Pittsburgh; Miss Beatrice REIS of Meyersdale, Mr. and Mrs. John FOREMAN and sons John, Jr., and Donald of Bakerton, Miss Sadie PRINGLE and Lemon PRINGLE of Pringle Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph BEECHAM of ____?.

CAMPBELL - CALDWELL

The marriage of Miss Florella M. CALDWELL, daughter of J. Milton CALDWELL of near Hickory [Pa], and Walter N. CAMPBELL, son of Mrs. Clara CAMPBELL of Rea [Pa] was an event of June 14, 1928, at 5:30 in the evening at a summer camp near Altoona [Pa]. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. S. MORLEDGE, pastor of the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian church [sic] of Hickory [Pa], of which the bride and bridegroom are members. The young folk are graduates of the Mt. Pleasant township vocational school [sic]. Mr. CAMPBELL is a prominent young farmer. The young couple will reside on the farm at Rea [Pa].
