CAMERON - HASWELL

The wedding ceremony of Miss Doris Elaine HASWELL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. K. HASWELL of 224 Cheshire road, Pittsfield, Mass., and Charles William CAMERON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. CAMERON of McDonald, took place Saturday afternoon, September 3, 1938, at four o'clock in the bride's home. The Rev. C. R. PREWITT officiated. The house was decorated with gladioluses.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a crepe chiffon redingote over satin, with Gibson-girl sleeves. Her poke bonnet had a finger-tip length veil and she carried a Colonial bouquet of gardenias and white roses. The maid of honor, her sister, Miss Helen B. HASWELL, wore peach embroidered marquisette with a doll hat made of a peach velvet flower. Her Colonial bouquet was of purple asters and roses.

Earl CAMERON, JR., of McDonald, a cousin of the bridegroom, was the bestman, and Frank E. ERICKSON of Washington, D.C., and T. K. HASWELL, JR., a brother of the bride, were the ushers.

Following the ceremony a reception for fifty guests was held in the HASWELL home. The bride's going away outfit was a navy blue colored dress with a finger-tip length cape, and blue and white accessories.

After a motor trip to Boston and other New England cities, the couple will be at home in McDonald after September 15. The bride is a graduate of Drury high school and the Berkshire business college. Mr. CAMERON is a salesman for the Coca-Cola Co. of McDonald.

Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. CAMERON and W. C. CAMERON, SR., of McDonald.

CAMERON - DUNBAR

Miss Mary Kathryn DUNBAR, daughter of Mrs. Bertha Kochendarfer DUNBAR, and the late Frank DUNBAR, and Private Earl Wilbur CAMERON, JR., son of the Earl W. CAMERONS of McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening, January 22, 1943, at the residence of the officiating minister, the Rev. Oscar E. GARDNER, D.D., pastor of the Frist Presbyterian church, McDonald.

The bride was attired in a gold suit with brown accessories and wore an orchid. The bridesmaid, Miss Janet DUNBAR, sister of the bride, wore a green gown with yellow roses. The bestman was Charles CAMERON, a cousin of the bridegroom. Others witnessing the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. CAMERON, SR., Mrs. Charles CAMERON, Miss Ruth DUNBAR, and Mrs. Harriet GILLMAN of Washington, an aunt of the bride. The bride's mother is in Florida.

A reception followed in the bride's home in the VALENTOUR apartments. In the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. Earl W. CAMERON, SR., Miss Ruth DUNBAR, and Mrs. Harriet GILLMAN.

The newlyweds went East on a short wedding trip.

Miss Ella CUNNINGHAM, Mrs. William FENWICK, and brother Quentin entertained for the young couple Monday evening in their home in Station street.

Private CAMERON leaves this Thursday night for his station at Cochran field, Macon, Georgia.

CAMERON - COOK

On Wednesday at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan G. COOK, on Lincoln avenue, at 12 o'clock, m., [sic= p.m.], occurred the wedding of their daughter Isabella Haddessa COOK, to Rev. John M. CAMERON, pastor of a U. P. Church at Newark, N. J.  The ceremony was performed in the spacious parlor, which was decorated with foliage and flowers, ferns and daisies being most pronounced.  The bridal pair, attended by Miss Edna RAMSEY and Mr. SMITH of Pittsburg [sic] entered the parlor with measured tread, the wedding march being played by Miss Marie DOUGLASS of Pittsburg [sic].  They halted before the officiating minister, Rev. W. D. IRONS, D.D., who was stationed in the bay window, which had been transformed into a bower of beauty. The ring ceremony was used.  After the newly wedded couple had received the congratulations of the company, numbering about thirty-five relatives and immediate friends of the principals, a bountiful luncheon was enjoyed. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. CAMERON, the groom's parents; Miss CAMERON, sister of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. SCOTT and Mr. and Mrs. SMITH, all of Pittsburg [sic].

Miss Kathryn McFARLAND, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. McFARLAND of Clinton avenue, and Mr. John CAMERON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex CAMERON of Maple street were united in marriage at 5:30 o?clock Saturday evening, December 4, 1926, at the home of the bride, in the presence of the immediate families and a few friends.  The bride was gowned in white flat crepe and carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. She was given in marriage by her father. The couple were attended by a sister of the bride and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Albert BOYNES of McDonald. The Rev. J. E. DETWEILER, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Oakdale, performed the ceremony.  Mr. CAMERON is employed in the signal corp [sic] of the Pennsylvania railroad.  Mrs. CAMERON is well known.  A reception followed the ceremony.  Among those from out of town who attended the wedding were Miss Tillie BELGIN of Wilkensburg, Miss Katie BELGIN and Arthur Clark of Sharon, Mr. and Mrs. Carl McFARLAND and children of Racoon, Mr. and Mrs. Albert BOYNES and children of McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Archie McFARLAND and children of Noblestown, and Mrs. JOHNSON, grandmother of the bridegroom, of Carnegie. Mr. and Mrs. CAMERON will make their home with the bride?s parents in Clinton avenue.
