Miss Clerona HENDERSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston HENDERSON, SR., of Popular street, McDonald, became the bride of Mr. David BURTON, JR., of Washington on Sunday, June 1, 1947, in the home of the bride with the Rev. Randall HOOE of Washington officiating.

The bride wore an azure blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of white orchids. The matron of honor, Mrs. Mabel HARRIS of Pittsburgh, wore a pink dress with white accessories and a corsage of red roses and sweetpeas. Melvin JOHNSON of Washington served as bestman.

Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Grace THORNTON sang "I Love You Truly" and "Because," accompanied by Miss Delcina LEFTWICH of Washington.

The bride's mother chose a frock of gray with a corsage of gardenias, while Mrs. BURTON, the bridegroom's mother, appeared in black crepe with a crosage [sic] of gardenias.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the bride's home which was decorated with palms, ferns, and roses. On the bride's table a tiered wedding cake formed the centerpiece. The couple will make their home at 25 Erie street, Washington.

Miss. Marybelle KELLY of Washington and Mr. Leonard BUSH, son of Mr. and Mrs. EDWARD BUSH of Johnston street, McDonald, were united in marriage at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 1940, in the home of the bridegroom, the Rev. Charles REDD officiating. The bride wore a black and green dress with black accessories.

Mr. BUSH a 1935 graduate of McDonald high school, is employed at Montour No. 9 mine. The young couple will reside on the Shaw Mine road.

A shower in their honor was held recently in the home of the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Harold ALSTON. Twenty-seven were present. The young couple received a number of gifts.

Miss Jean MULLER of Carnegie, who was born and reared in Cecil, and Mr. Arthur BUSHEM, son of Mr. and Mrs. V BUSHEM of Carnegie, were united in marriage at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 1940, in Holy Soul's Catholic church, Carnegie, by the Rev. Fr. E. DOMINICIS.

The bride wore a white lace and chiffon gown with train, and a trailing veil with a tiara of seed pearls. She carried white snapdragons and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaid, Miss Mary Louise MULLER of Carnegie, wore pink net and lace with a small pink veil and a crown of flowers. She carried pink snapdragons. Mr. Jack QUINN of Cecil served as bestman.

A reception followed at Hough's Inn, South park, with 60 guests in attendance. The young couple will reside in Carnegie where Mr. BUSHEM is employed in the steel mill.
Among those from Cecil who attended the reception were Miss. Anna Mae TEYSSIER, Jack QUINN, Miss. Frances KELLEGUSKY, Miss. Marie and Miss. Eleanor QUINN, Jack CHABRIER, Mr. and Mrs. Armand CHABRIER, Mrs. Philip CHABASSOL, Mr. and Mrs. Amie DELESTINE and Mrs. Archie STRIMEL.

Miss Hannah MCFALLS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James MCFALLS of Sturgeon, and Mr. Leroy BUSHMIRE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry BUSHMIRE of Muse, were united in marriage before a nuptial mass at nine o'clock Wednesday morning, August 8, 1934, in St. Patrick's church, Noblestown, with the Rev. Fr. C. M. KEANE officiating. The bride was attended by her sister Miss Elizabeth MCFALLS, and Earl BUSHMIRE was his brother's best man. The young couple has gone to housekeeping in the C. M. BLACK house in Sturgeon.

A pretty wedding took place in the A.M.E. Zion church, Oakdale on Wednesday evening, June 27, 1923, when Miss Nerissa PRYOR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sandy PRYOR, became the bride of Thomas Monroe BUTLER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas BUTLER. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. S. Anderson. The altar was banked with pink and white flowers. The bride wore a gown of Charmuese Shadow lace and Georgette and carried pink roses. Mrs. Harriet COLEMAN, sister of the groom, was matron of honor and Miss Ruth SIMPSON and Miss Beulah BUTLER, sister of the groom, and Alfred BOLLING and Raymond BUTLER, brother of the groom, were the attendants. Master Sandy PRYOR, Jr. was ring bearer and Gladys L. BUTLER and Margaret MILLS were the flower girls. Mrs. Freelore POLLARD, sister of the groom, played the wedding march. Following the ceremony a wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's brother, Mr. Sandy PRYOR. Lunch was served by Mrs. PRYOR, assisted by her mother, Mrs. BUTLER and Mrs. POLLARD who were assisted by the Young Women's Missionary Society, of which the bride was a member. A wedding breakfast was served the bridal party by Mrs. F.R. WINTERS in her home. Mr. and Mrs. BUTLER will reside at Jeannette. The good wishes of their many friends go with them.
