BRAND ? SHILLITO
Miss Ruth Isabel SHILLITO, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. B., SHILLITO, of Hickory, and Mr. William FitzGerald
[sic] BRAND, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. BRAND, Sr., of Salem, Va., were united in marriage Saturday evening, November 23, 1940, in the United Presbyterian church, Hickory. The pastor the Rev. R. L. STEVENSON, performed the ceremony before an altar of cibotium ferns and palms.
The bride wore a full train gown of ivory antique satin and a tulle veil cascading in tiers from a coronet of orange blossoms. She wore pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Her bouquet was calla lilies. For her matron of honor, she chose her sister, Mrs. U. Grant BOAK of R.D. 4, McDonald. The maid of honor was Miss Grace PEDICORD of Hickory and the bridesmaids were Miss Ruth ALLISON of Hickory and Miss Ruth GALBRAITH of Pittsburgh. The honor attendants were attired in hyacinth moiré taffeta and carried bronze chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids wore dresses of the same material selected in Spanish rose and they carried orchid chrysanthemums. Mr. Cabell BRAND, a student at Virginia Military institute, served as his brother?s bestman and the ushers were Mr. Fletcher HORN of Montgomery, Ala., Mr. Don SLESSMAN of Fremont, Ohio, Mr. Logan BOWMAN of Roanoke, Va., and Mr. U. Grant BOAK of R.D. 4, McDonald.
A reception was held in the Mount Vernon room of the George Washington hotel, Washington.
Mrs. BRAND graduated last June from Pennsylvania State college. Mr. BRAND is a graduate of Virginia Military institute and of Pennsylvania State college. Following a southern trip, the young couple will reside in Cumberland, Md., where Mr. BRAND is employed as a chemist at the Celanese Corporation of America.

Miss Mildred Catherine O'HARA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis O'HARA of Burgettstown, and Franklin Parr BRANNAN,
son of Frank P. BRANNAN of South McDonald street, were
quietly married at four-thirty o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 14, 1926, in the parsonage of the Methodist
church in Claysville, the Rev. Mr. PIERCE officiating.
The bride, who was unattended, wore a gown of black satin trimmed with pink and carried a bouquet of bride's roses.
Mr. and Mrs. BRANNAN left the same day by auto for a trip to Moundsville, W.Va., and other points of interest, and upon
their return they will reside in Burgettstown. The bride was employed as chief operator for the Bell Telephone
company in the Burgettstown exchange. Mr. BRANNAN is employed by the Peoples Gas company.

On Saturday afternoon, October 13, 1923, at 5 o'clock Miss Margaret McAFFEE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McAFFEE, of Crafton, became the bride of Mr. John O.
BRANNAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. BRANNAN, of the South side, McDonald, in the manse of the Hamilton Presbyterian church, Hamilton, Ohio. Rev. J. B. CAVITT,
a former minister in McDonald officiated. The young couple went from McDonald to Hamilton by auto and the wedding was a complete surprise to their many friends.
After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served by Mrs. CAVITT, and on the return trip the young couple visited in Dayton, Columbus, Springdale and Zanesville, Ohio.
The bride is well and favorably known in this community, having resided for a number of years in Midway.
Mr. BRANNAN is in the real estate and insurance business here and his many friends wish he and his wife every happiness. Mr. and Mrs. BRANNAN will go to
housekeeping in Midway for the present.

Miss Mary Margaret DAVIDSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. PEACOCK of Arabella street, McDonald, and Mr. Paul William BRANNAN of Burgettstown, son of Mr. and Mrs.
T. J. BRANNAN of Shadyside, Ohio, were united in marriage at 11:30 o?clock Saturday morning, May 28, 1938, in the First United Presbyterian manse, McDonald, the pastor, the Rev.
S. A. McCOLLAM, performing the ceremony. The bride was attired in a navy embroidered marquisette gown with navy accessories. She wore a corsage of sweet peas and pink roses. Mrs. BRANNAN is a 1932 graduate of McDonald high school. Mr. BRANNAN graduated from Burgettstown high in 1930.

St. Paul?s Lutheran church, Canonsburg, was the setting for the wedding of Anna M.
ANGERER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. ANGERER
of R. D. 1 Canonsburg, and Elmer F. BRAUTIGAM, son of Mrs. George BRAUTIGAM, R. D. 4, McDonald.
The wedding took place Wednesday evening, October 23, at 7:45 o?clock with the double ring ceremony performed by the Rev F. S.
EBERLE, church pastor. The exchange of vows was taken before the church altar adorned with ferns and palms and lighted with candelabra.
Miss Lillian A. WASSUM, church organist, played a medley of nuptial music.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of white satin with bracelet-length sleeves, fitted bodice with sweetheart neckline, pleated skirt, and a fingertip veil, the latter supplying the ?something old.? For ?something new,? she wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom, and she carried an arm bouquet of white pompons and white chrysanthemums tied with white satin streamers.
As her maid of honor and only attendant, her sister, Edna M. ANGERER, chose a pink net over taffeta floor-length gown with short sleeves, sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and bouffant skirt. She carried an arm bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums combined with pink rosebuds.
Mrs. ANGERER, mother of the bride, wore navy blue with matching accessories, and Mrs.
BRAUTIGAM, mother of the bridegroom, was similarly attired in navy blue with white accessories. Each had a shoulder corsage of pink rosebuds.
Frank C. BRAUTIGAM, R. D. 4, McDonald, served as his brother?s bestman.
The bride graduated from the Cecil township high school and was formerly employed at
McCANN?s, Washington. The bridegroom was graduated from the Avella high school and is associated with his brother in farming in Mt. Pleasant township. [

On Thursday morning, in the Waverly Presbyterian church, the marriage of Miss Marie Margaret
Kreiling, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth M. Kreiling of Homewood avenue, Homewood, to Charles Oscar
Brawdy, son of Mrs. Mary S. Brawdy of McDonald and Los Angeles, California, took place. The Rev. Thomas C. Pears, Jr., performed the ceremony. A breakfast in the Rittenhouse supplemented the ceremony. After an Eastern trip Mr. and Mrs. Brawdy will be at home on Braddock avenue.
