BANNISTER - SNYDER
The marriage of Miss Ella Esther SNYDER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry
SNYDER of East Palestine, Ohio, and Mr. Courtland BANNISTER, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Amos BANNISTER of Beaver Falls took place at
10:30 o'clock Saturday morning, September 15, 1928, in the
Westminster St. Mary's Episcopal church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Amos BANNISTER in the presence of the immediate families.
The attendants were Mrs. Arthur ERICKSON of East Palestine, Ohio, and Mr. William Booth BANNISTER of Imperial, brother of the bridegroom.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. BANNISTER left on a motor trip.

Miss Dorothy Jean ENGLAND, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. ENGLAND of Wilkinsburg, and Dr. William B.
BANNISTER, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs.
William B. Bannister of Imperial, were united in marriage at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, 1944, in the Second United Presbyterian church, Wilkinsburg,
by the Rev. H. H. McCONNELL.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin and a fingertip veil of tulle. For good luck, she had a six-pence in her
shoe. She carried a bouquet of white talisman roses, snapdragons and orchids and wore a string of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. The matron
of honor, Mrs. E. J. BISHOP, sister of the bride, wore peach taffeta and
net and carried talisman roses and iris. The bridesmaids, Mrs. William F.
NEWBURY, Jr., and Miss Margaret BEATTIE, wore pink and
orchid tafetta and net and carried talisman roses and snapdragons.
William B. BANNISTER of Imperial served as his son's bestman and the ushers were E. J.
BISHOP, Richard BANNISTER,
Dr. Harold A. BAESLACK and Roy B. ROBINSON. The church organist, Miss Florence
LEWIS, played the wedding music and Mrs. A. G. YOUNG sang.
The reception was held in the Penn-Lincoln hotel, Wilkinsburg, after which
Dr. and Mrs. BANNISTER left for a brief wedding trip.

BANYAY - WHITE
Miss Elizabeth Anna WHITE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin D. WHITE of Hickory,
and Charles J. BANYAY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen BANYAY of Evans City,
were united in marriage at noon Monday, June 12, 1944, in the manse of the
West Middlesex United Presbyterian church by the Rev. Edward W. WELCH, uncle of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Pennsylvania State college and has been teaching
in the Evans City high school. Mr. BANYAY attended Carnegie Tech and is an
engineer at the American Rolling Mill Co., Butler.
Following a brief wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. BANYAY will reside in Evans City.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Ralph KUHN, R. D. 1, Burgettstown announce the marriage of their daughter Betty Jean to Harold Earl BARB, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Earl BARB of
Parsons, W.Va. The double ring ceremony was performed at 1:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, November 26, 1946, in the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. R. L. BIDDLE, D. D., pastor of the Old Concord Presbyterian church, and a former pastor of Florence and Paris Presbyterian churches.
The bride wore a suit of brown plaid Briton wool and brown accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. The bridesmaid, Miss Jean KEIFER, wore a black and white suit
with black accessories and a corsage of red roses. Gerald KUHN, brother of the bride, and recently returned from service with the army in Japan, was bestman. John
LAUGHLIN of Laughlin Corners was also an attendant.
Mrs. BARB, a 1940 graduate of Union high school, Burgettstown, was a waitress at The Farm Restaurant and recently completed a course in beauty culture in Pittsburgh.
Mr. BARB is employed as a shovel operator for the Sunnyhill Coal Co. in Masontown, W. Va.
A reception was held in the evening in the home of the bride's parents for the immediate families and a few friends.
Friends and neighbors of the Florence and Frankfort community tendered the newlyweds a serenade and shower on Friday evening. Many useful gifts were received.
Mrs. Henry COPE and Jean KEIFER of Burgettstown R. D. were joint hostesses at a shower in the COPE home for the bride prior to her marriage. Lunch was served.

BARCLAY - LEWIS
Miss Mary Margaret LEWIS and Peyton E. BARCLAY were united in marriage Saturday evening, October 18 at a beautiful candlelight ceremony in the First Baptist church,
McDonald.
The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Herman LEWIS of the Southside, and Mr. BARCLAY is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward BARCLAY of
Homewood.
Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Grace Carter THORNTON sang "Because" and "O, Promise Me," accompanied by Mrs. Marjorie Lewis
BROOKINS.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Edwina YULE of Homewood, a sister of the bridegroom. She wore a gown of pale blue taffeta with a veil to match and carried roses and
mums. Six bridesmaids attended the bride. They were Miss Marcella RAGLAND, McDonald, and Miss Juanita LEE, Carnegie, both dressed in shell pink taffeta; Miss
Dorothy WINTERS, Pittsburgh, and Miss Hazel JONES, Carnegie, both wearing gowns of golden taffeta; Miss Marian MACK and Mrs. Theressa
[sic] HENDERSON, McDonald,
dressed in dark green taffeta. All wore golden tiaras and carried red roses and white chrysanthemums. The flower girl, Joan TURNER, McDonald, wore a white Kate
Greenaway frock and carried a basket of baby mums. The ring-bearer was Joseph KENNEDY, McDonald. He was dressed in a suit of white gabardine and carried the
ring on a white satin pillow. Edward BIVENS was the bestman.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white satin, princess style and trimmed with heirloom lace. Her fingertip veil was adorned with lace and
a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of white roses and gladoli. The "something old" tradition was carried out in the bride's gown which had been
worn by her sister, Wilma Jean, when she was married.
Ushers were John WINTERS, Lewis SCOTT, Pittsburgh; William Thomas LEWIS and Sterling CARTER, Jr., McDonald; Charles ASTON, Carnegie.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles REDD.
The bride's mother wore a dress of aqua taffeta with white accessories. The mother of the groom wore a black dress. Both wore corsages of red roses.
After the ceremony, a reception with 500 guest was held in the Municipal auditorium.
Mrs. BARCLAY was graduated from Cecil township high school.

Miss Bessie Campbell TRIMMER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. TRIMMER of North avenue, McDonald, and William
D. BARCLAY, son of Mrs. William BARCLAY of Bridgeville, were married on Saturday, April 29, 1922, at the Christian
Alliance manse in New Castle, the Rev. Mr. PATTERSON officiating. The bride, who was unattended, wore a dark blue
traveling suit with a hat to match and carried a shower bouquet of sweetheart roses. Mr. and Mrs. BARCLAY left Saturday
afternoon for an auto trip to Youngstown, Elyria, Columbus, and other points in Ohio. On their return home they will reside
in North avenue, McDonald.
